It's a PAC. But I cannot opine on whether their purpose here is allowable. It would not seem so, but who knows.

People criticized Trump for collecting money for his legal cases, but I am not certain if this is the same or not.

Hence, my confusion.

It will be interesting for Schiff on this. Trump has an argument that the persecution for his classified docs and Jan 6th were related to him being a candidate or his office and thus he should be able to accept legal services or have a PAC or whomever pay for the services as part of the "campaign".

For Trump's E Jean Carroll, Overstating Assets, and Recorded Legal Settlements as Legal Expense felonies, I think he would have had to pay for that out of his own pocket that or he would I believe have tax liability for services paid for on his behalf (or have to reimburse the campaign, etc).

For Schiff, there seems to be no correlation to his political office or campaign. He may not think so, but that would be the analysis.

But as an expired CPA, I pay others to mess with my taxes so there may be something I am not considering.

The only positive thing about Schiff, is it's always easy to tell what the truth is. It's just the opposite of whatever Schiff says.
