The UK is not politically united now. The sentiment of the majority of Englishmen is almost polar opposite to the majority in Scotland; thus the Reform Party is growing evermore popular in England while the Scottish National Party is on top in Scotland. Wales and Northern Ireland are wild cards. This is why you see anti-invasion protestors waiving the English Flag instead of the Union Jack. My friends in England believe the protests we have seen in Nuneaton recently are the beginning of a lot more unrest leading up until the next national election. Make Britain Great Again.

I was there in April. Saw lots of foreigners and heard tons of foreign languages but did not get the impression they were taking over anything except deliver drivers and wait staff. Only one place we ate was the wait staff English and not foreign.

I think I saw one women in full burka get up. I have trouble believing you saw HUNDREDS unless you went to mosque at prayer time.

And they are extremely weird sandwiches that have nonsensical ingredients mixed together. Every time I've been over there I marvel at the absurdity of their sandwiches.

It's almost as if stirring up the tribal instincts of the historically warring groups in the UK/Europe writ large might have predictable consequences to the forced subjugation of said peoples there.

I am a big Anglophile. Travel there when I can.

I like the history and traditions of the monarchy as far as it goes.

But for all practical purposes, the monarchy is PR and showbiz now...and Charles replacing Elizabeth II is like Will Farrell "replacing" Steve Carrell.

And I think it will hasten the closing of the "show".

I have long been a fan and supporter of the British monarchy, but it died with Queen Elizabeth, and I foresee that in 10-25 years the Brits will vote to disband the monarchy entirely. This is not like Spain or Denmark where it is highly ceremonial and apolitical. The PM forms a government FOR the monarch, meets with the monarch, and advises and gets advise from the monarch (though the monarch does not have true legislative or government power the monarch has outsized political power and influence). If the King is not going to defend the native British subjects, defend and uphold the C of E, but just wear a funny expensive hat with jewels and tell the people to F off, the monarchy should be abolished. William will have about 5 years to revert course from his father or he may well be the last monarch ever.

Im here now and go almost every quarter for work and stay in The City, so I do a lot of East London things and it can be a scene for sure that makes you think "where am I?"

Visited London in 2023. Loved it. I love history and London has a lot of it. Some stolen but still. Sad it will be gone when the crazy beards take over and burn the city because Mighty Mo their Prophet hates everything and everyone.

Not much will happen in Europe until Germany wakes up. That has always been the case. England will maybe start, or the French will get mad and maybe start before England, but they will both make a mess of it and they will flounder around in the changing tide. Scandinavia will just make restrictive laws more and more tighter, but no real change. They need Germany to lead them or set the example. Problem is Germany is pretty entrenched in the woke world.

Issue with all these areas is that the governments control their pensions. People will need to risk it all, as is the case in all these movements.
