Isn't it breaching protocol to go straight to a Co-Deputy Director before appointing a Czar? Does Dan Bongino need help or is Andrew Bailey perhaps going to be focused on prosecuting corrupt government employees?

First step to Bongino being out. Hes has shown he's not "up to the job."

It's taking too much time away from his family, which he hates. Remember, he came from completely setting his own schedule to now being 9 to 5.

He also didn't play nice in the whole talking points about the Epstein files.

I would be surprised if he makes out the year.


Note; this is not meant as a slight to Bongino. My guess is it's not the job he thought he signed up for.
But he has enough respect and admiration for Trump to not just walk out and make him look bad.

ETA: it's also very possible that the new guy will take over the actual day to day job, and Bongino will get a very specialized role that he wants to focus on

I've seen that they are bringing Bailey on because he is knowledgeable about prosecuting.

But no idea.

Sounds like Trump is confirming Dan Bongino is leaving the FBI as deputy director, telling reporters he did a great job and “wants to go back to his show.”
