And just think if the media accurately reported and gave these things the attention and coverage they deserve.

I agree we continue to see regional balkanization. I believe however it is more likely we see a peaceful break-up of the union before actual civil war.

Having said that, we are seeing things now that might accelerate conflict. Limits on free speech, media propaganda, allowing illegals to vote, election manipulation, giving disproportionate benefits to illegals, the spying on legislators and others.

At some point if civil liberties are sufficiently eroded and segment of the population feels disenfranchised, then we might see a cascade of events that get us to a point of no return.

If I had a dollar for every single time someone has claimed that CW2 was imminent, I could have retired years ago.

And people who actually want a civil war have no clue what they're wishing for.

It will not be one army vs. another.

It would be a widespread guerrilla war with citizen against citizen that would make The Troubles look like a backyard brawl.

Yup.
Most people, but especially Democrats, don't quite get this.
They have visions of Biden & Kamala ordering F-16s to bomb houses of every republican with an AR-15.

Civil wars are usually neighbor vs neighbor, or neighborhood vs neighborhood.
And there is a REALLY high threshold. Like your family/community being attacked, or the threat of your livelihood/family being taken away.

Another US civil war will never happen. Ever. People simply don't care enough.
People love to talk behind a keyboard but not many will take action. Kinda like talk of Texas seceding. Won't happen.

It will eventually happen. Anyone that says they know when is either trying to sell something or is just a fool.

most Americans are fat and attached to their iphone who exactly will be fighting this war>

People who want power or can manipulate others to fight so that they can have power. Read some history.

I have read history, anyway who specifically will be fighting?

Realistically, no one knows.
But statistically, we have only had 2 large conflicts in 250 years. *That* is an outlier.
Long is the list of countries that no longer exist. Most of them didn't disappear peacefully.

This is correct. Its also worth bearing mind something brought to attention recently. Even our US Civil war was not really a "civil war" like deddog describes. It really was a replay of 1776. A group of members broke away, became a declared nation, than engaged in a war with who they had left. Complete with boundaries, territories, uniforms distinct. The Texas revolt against Mexico has similarities too.

So even as horrific as that was, we haven't experienced a Yugoslavia style civil war yet and have little conception of it.

Replacement theory nonsense? Biden's 20M+ illegals points to an apportionment scheme to keep Dems in the game until they can do mass amnesty for 50M illegals for permanent power. Remember how fast that story fell out of the cycle earlier this year? I do.

I can tell you who it won't be: rich people, politicians, elected officials, podcasters, or social media influencers. The people gleefully suggesting and encouraging a civil war are the ones who will never have to fight in it and neither will their children or grandchildren.

I don't have kids.

And wanting it to happen will not make it so.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

And wanting it to happen will not make it so.

Then you don't understand. I look at my kids and go, 'What are their jobs going to be? What housing can they afford? Why do all the public parks absolutely suck and are no go zones? Why can't my kids have the same freer childhood that I had? Or my parents had? Why do my neighbors and I have nothing in common?'

People don't want it to happen. But its going to happen. The only thing keeping this country together is the grift entitlement payments that the government hands out to enough various coalitions it keeps everyone fat and happy at home.

America will implode through fiscal irresponsibility and democrats bringing over millions of illegal voters to bring themselves into unchecked rule. Voting is a proxy for war, we vote so we don't fight every time there is a leader change. Undermining voting in such a massive manner invites war.

So yes, its coming. And yes, you can roll your eyes about how people online glorify it and don't actually want it.
Eventually the EBT machine is going to stop and same with fraudulent veterans disability benefits, social security, and state pensions. Its going to take longer than we all think but it will happen. It will be terrible. It is inevitable.

Or put another way. That was true all the way that it was talked about and didn't happen from 1845 till 1861.

Time can be tricky that way. The present seems it will not change.
