You confuse patriotism with ego. Astronauts are motivated by ego. You always know when you are in the room with one because they are like vegans. The fact he needs to post his medals and his resume lets other veterans know what his motivation for service is.

As others have said, enlisted and officers are taught about lawful orders from the start. To be told this by congress critters of dubious integrity is an insult.

It's like the old joke:

Q: When you meet a guy, how can you tell he went to Notre Dame?

A: Don't worry, he'll tell you in the first 10 seconds.

I know of two that I served with in Afghanistan. A COL and a LTC.
When the truth comes out, do not ask me how I knew.
Ask yourself why you did not.

Investigated for telling people to follow the law?

You really think what they did was that inconsequential?

After 4 years believing everything the MSM could shove down the throats of the left and questioned nothing …..now when the left clearly does something wrong about how a grievance has been aired ……they take a super simple posture that no laws have been broken.

Being counseled is appropriate. If MK had been more mindful he would have followed the rules, but he didn't because he put himself and his party above acceptable military conduct. He should be punished.

Gen. Milley needs to be held accountable as well for the same reason. It is absolutely entertaining to
Watch how the left will pretend they have no idea why Gen Milley was in he wrong for what he did and appropriately deserves to receive some level of punishment.

yeah, it was the SW Asia and Desert Storm medals that tipped it for me. I also have those and they are bottom row for a reason.

No one is above the law. And if Mark Kelly broke a law he needs to face whatever punishment comes his way.

Yes, it is as easy to say as that. And that's cause I don't consider myself a dem anymore.

Love it! As Charlie Kirk said many times, the left is the only side that plays offense. We need to play more offense.

UCMJ is not restricted to criminal acts only. Conduct unbecoming, for example.

Just saw her interview on ABC. Shes a total clown. First Slotkin makes a video telling service members you dont have to follow the president's orders. Then on Sunday on ABC she says, I have no clue what illegal orders the president has given.

WTF lady. You are either deranged with TDS or just stupid.

She's a democrat so she's both.

He's trying to say this to Trump - a guy who was actually shot in an attempted assassination...

OK, Markie Mark.

And, like always, I got learned something new by ya, Mama Hawg.

As for Mark, if he did something he wasn't supposed to do and is going to be held accountable, then so be it. That's life in the real world.

For anyone to be mad that he's being called out on it and going to be held accountable for it better not have been thrilled when Trump had all that happened to him with all that did happen to him.

There are enough (all of them if we're being honest) hypocrites in DC. It's long overdue for their supporters to stop acting like sycophants and start acting like adults and hold their own to account.

Again, thanks for the edumication.

Regardless if anything happens to Kelly, dragging him in for a court martial on this issue is a good move.

It nips the purpose of the video in the bud immediately.

It sends a message that the administration will not stand for insubordination, and you had better be 100% sure you know what you are doing if you fail to follow an order, or you are going to be court martialed. This administration is not playing around.

So, even if nothing happens to Kelly, this reaction is a good move, in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more.

I work for the state, and if I do anything that makes the state look bad (I know, it's ironic that doesn't pertain to politicians, but I digress), regardless of why I did it, I will be held to account.

Rules are rules, like them or not.

You are welcome. The UCMJ is a completely different animal than statutory criminal law. It is more a Code of Conduct for military members (and their families as active duty are held responsible for the conduct of their dependents) that is 24/7/365 not just work related.

Even first amendment rights are curtailed in that you can say what you want but not when active and in uniform.

You do realize that Comey/James has not ended in any sense of the word. The case was almost certainly improperly tossed on a poor interpretation of the precedents on appointments.

It's pretty clear that it would be unconstitutional to remove the ability of POTUS to nominate his appointments when all the opposing party has to do is run out a 120 day clock (intended to address actual vacancies in olden times when things moved slower but the business of government still needed to be tended to).

And why are you supporting Come / James having their criminal issues paused on technicalities? If you adore them so much, why not tell us more about how there cases were adjudicated on the merits and not on technical malfeasance.

There is nothing thin about it. They picked this fight by committing sedition. Will anything bad happen to them? Probably not since we have two systems of justice and the left is entirely devoid of ethics.

The major should also be court martialed and sent to Leavenworth.

When my dad was stationed overseas the crimes committed by their son resulted in the family being sent back to the US. Indeed the Code of Conduct was followed in the early 1960s.
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”

In most of the various service elements, it would be quick and final based on the the shown e-mails/SM text. Don't know about the JAG world, even though the same UCMJ applies to them as well. If these e-mails were to a superior officer, not sure how they could be defended...especially the fling about "one of your cronies".

It's one thing to question orders because you have a legitimate military reason based in fact and experience (and it's your job to make sure the mission is successful and to help your boss see all angles), but once the boss says "execute" then all BS is over and you execute said orders and carry them out to the best of your ability. That includes fixing anything that goes wrong.

The impression I get with this Maj is that she has reached her Peter Principle" rank, has been an issue in the past, and knows she is done in the ARMY. So she thinks she's going out like a hero.
