I am not surprised that a group of faculty members defended another faculty member over termination due to curriculum content. If the acting President of Texas A&M reinstates Melissa McCoul, the Board of Regents should fire him. It's perplexing how the removal of the student was justified, but not the firing of Professor Melissa McCoul. This is another sign that the Texas A&M faculty has gotten more liberal.

Can we form a committee of former students who submit to the interim president a finding that the other committee should be disbanded and removed of their positions at A&M, non-binding of course?

Now that they have grouped those in a committee, fire the entire committee. These people have no business in our schools and colleges - send all of them to the free cheese line

A committee decision is something like a consensus, right? I'd say this consensus by A&M professors is about as good as the Consensus Nonsensus of manmade global warming!

I just held a committee with my daughter's dog Birdy.

We both agree that the firing was justified.

We will be sending an email to the President later today with our findings.

I am sure Pres. Williams will give the recommendation the thorough review it deserves.
