We all knew stuff like this happened, but this is the first video evidence of it to my knowledge.

I'm surprised that something worse hasn't happened by now (thinking of Tylenol).

Isn't this why restaurants pretty much seal the packaging so the food can't be accessed?

I have never doordashed. Don't be lazy, go pick up your food. You'll save a lot of money.

America today: pay someone to cook your food, and pay someone else to bring it to you.

I worked in a restaurant at 18. This isn't new nor limited to food delivery.

Doordash is for lazy fatasses.

I prefer to call/use the app and drive and pickup. Good excuse to go out and have a conversation with the wife as i drive.

Couldn't the same be said for paying for prepared food instead of fixing your own food at home?!

The 5-second rule is in effect. That was maybe 3 seconds of contact time.

And people who buy food at grocery stores instead of growing or raising and slaughtering their own.

Today, unfortunately, many Americans have good reason to fear that they will be victimized if they are unable to protect themselves. And today, no less than in 1791, the Second Amendment guarantees their right to do so. - Justice Samuel Alito 2022

Hate to break it to you but stuff like this happens in all restaurants, everywhere.

My mind brings me back to a few min ago when I was posting about lazy American workers.

There is an industry that is built on people so lazy they can't drive 10 min to pick up food.

No wonder the Chinese are going to kick our ass.

That was a pretty impressive move by that dude. Also respected the hell out of the 5 second rule. Immediately went into action. I'd increase his tip.

I don't door dash anything ever, but I once heard someone say the same about house cleaners and another person had a decent response.

Essentially, their time is worth more to them than the money. Instead of spending time cleaning they would rather spend it doing other stuff like running their business or hanging with family/friends.

That said, everyone I know that doordashes food regularly is absolutely lazy and would rather pay more than get off the couch.

Exactly.

We cook every meal at home except for Friday evenings which is a scheduled take out day. Thai, Mexican, Indian, fast food, Chinese..... Just for lunch today my wife made me a scrambled egg with spring onions on a toast. Breakfasty but it was good.

Every now and then on some occasion we eat out - like last night we went out for burgers as my son is in town from college.

I never order in, I felt lazy when I did it some years ago. I don't do it even when it is free (I hate paying tips though).

Chinese will kick our ass for other reasons, not this one.

If people only knew what happens in the kitchen, restaurants would be out of business.

Just watch the movie Waiting.

Waiting is a borderline documentary of the restaurant industry. I worked at a highend steak house in High School and during summer freshman year. The things we did/did not do and the games we played.

Hard work but a lot of fun too.

Never worked in the food industry, I can imagine the so called "shenanigans" that went on. Probably the same s*** I got into working at the airport. Rude passages traveling oversees always seem to have something go wrong with their luggage. It was the strangest thing.

Idiotic. It allows us to send dinner to my 95 yr old mother who can't go retrieve it herself. There are tons of folks that need a little help…and they're not fatasses.

No, that is a great use case. If you send stuff to your mom, then I applaud you!

I also send my son in college an occasional dinner from some high end place over DD.

I never use DD for myself though.

20 percent of the usage; the other 80% is the laziness.
