Dems are pouring millions of dollars into the race, even though they know they'd lose the seat in 2026.

It is all about setting a narrative.

Democrats are highly motivated to turn out and will in mass, plus they've dumped plenty of $$$ into GOTV efforts.

Republicans as usual almost never vote in special elections and most probably don't even know it is happening. On top of that, much of MAGA only turns out if Trump is on the ballot, and of course he isn't.

The Dems have apparently hugely outspent the Republicans with outside money. And Republicans are almost legendary status for being lazy and complacent in off year and special elections.

van epps will most likely win, but there's no room for error for the gop in the house.

not a great sign for the gop in the midterms that they had to pull trump in for a last minute campaign blitz in a district he won by 22 points last year.

22 point win by Trump and have to bring in big guns for this seat is what most are worried about, if they cant get obummer care fixed then it will be a blood bath.

And it will be closer than 22% so Dems want a spotlight, even though they will lose, because it will be a closer loss and as such be counted as a "win".

This used to be the mantra of Aggie sports where we were to feel better because we were just behind when time ran out. Its an odd mentality.

also, the dems have spent tons of money for this little exercise. There has been essentially zero polling so its quite possible poll manipulation is at play here for the narrative.

Shouldn't be a race but it's very weird timing, tons of money dumped on their side, and a complicit media not really covering what a BSC she-devil she is. If the dude wins by 21.9% tonight the Dems will be chanting about blue waves the rest of the week.

Van Epps winning every county except one by +4% to 70%, most in the 25% to 60% range.

Behn is winning Davidson County by over 70%. Davidson is the home of Nashville.
