Not to be the "um, actually" person. But for nursing in particular, if you need accommodations like extra time on computer or written exams or a distraction-free environment, those are considered reasonable, but the accommodation contract will stipulate that students are NOT to receive accommodation for practical exams where clinical competence skills are to be demonstrated as part of the exam so Health assessment labs, gross anatomy labs, simulations etc.
Another one I have seen is having the lecture slides published 24 hours in advance for pre review. I'm meh on that one.
Finally, there is a law coming down in Texas that all course materials need to be ADA Compliant by sometime in April. This is a pretty big lift for instructors to go through and make sure anything recorded has a transcription/subtitles, documents are scannable by reading software, and pictures have alt text. It's a lot especially for older teachers. Thankfully most programs have features to help but many instructors dont even know how to use them or that they exist.
