There was a 4 year gap between Trump's administrations, expecting gas prices to be the same as 5 years ago is a little much. Grocery prices have come down in my area for much of what we buy, beef, seafood and some other stuff is still high but not all of that is on the president (beef is high because of short supply and lengthy build up time). Home prices may not be what you want to pay but they have definitely come down, I bought a house this year and currently have two on the market. So I think your statement is disingenuous at best, it's not like Trump neglected those areas to focus on name changes for people who pretend to be something that they are not.
