Believe it or not but I drew a 24 hour ban from a post I made on Rivalries. My first ever. It was a joke about Kliff Kingsbury using a flatbed truck to ferry Tech football team around Midland. A lot of train tracks in .Midland. Not a great idea.

But guess it was too soon after a train hit a flatbed with a lot of volunteers or something

Rivalries gave out lots of 4 hour bans or one day bans back in the day. And if the bans were longer, most of us just created socks that were usually banned pretty quickly as well.

Sometimes, we would share socks with each other when one username got banned. And there were plenty of people who would post with multiple usernames, sometimes "in discussion" with themselves.

I was there with you, my crowning achievement on TexAgs was nicknaming mse1892 or whatever the number was missy. That was a good day.

Otherwise my posts are unpopular at .59 stars per post.

EDIT: - if what BusterAg said is true - that premium stars are worth 5 times what non-premium stars are worth - that could explain discrepancies.

See above. Epic meltdown - posted an ***hole and got a temp ban for it.

Then when he got cleared he revealed that his over celebrated status as "tears thread guy" had gone completely to his head… I think he legitimately thought he was too important for them to kick off the site. He went off the deep end that night posting wild stuff in an intentional kamikaze.

That is interesting... you could use my data as further coincidental evidence.

I had no idea if that was true, but my fall from the top 20 pretty much coincides with when I dropped from Premium. I was there for years.

Well Gary was permabanned about a year ago and Rocky and Hawg are still trying to catch up.

I don't think he was perma-banned; but he chooses not to post anymore because he was ban-hammered for an extended period and hasn't returned after publicly complaining about his punishment....

I just thought to look up my old account, which I haven't used in years and had far fewer posts than this one, and it still has a higher blue star rank than this one. I guess my favorite volunteer mod wasn't deleting posts and constantly banning that one.

Would love to see TexAgs do a stars-per-post ratio stat. Quality v. quantity kind of deal. We have a lot of very active, quality posters who rank near the top for stars, and a smaller number of sheet posters who are just constantly posting drivel. Would be interesting to see who the others are more in the middle.
