Wait. Yall think the university knew about this in advance and was fine with it?

They're certainly not being forthright about anything.

I don't disagree that right now, they seem to be more concerned about how this reflects on Brown than anything. And that is awful. But that's a far cry from being an accessory to murder.

This guy was protesting for Hamas. The university knew he was hate filled. They gave him a job! I bet they had information on threats he made to other students. At some point you could say they have real responsibility.

Is anyone besides internet discussion boards naming this guy as the shooter?

Scrubbing to hinder identification of a suspect as well as scrubbing motive.

Scrubbing the info of a person being named as the shooter and then acting like they have no idea what anyone is talking about is beyond awful. It is gaslighting. They're hiding their own culpability and liability.

To my knowledge, no one with any connection to the investigation has named him as a suspect.

I hear what you're saying and don't necessarily disagree that that's what it currently looks like. But "looks like" doesn't mean "is." Time will tell.

What is my point? My point is there doesn't appear to be any evidence that he is the shooter besides he is overweight and has political beliefs that most of us don't agree with. Does anyone here remember the thread a few weeks ago about the chick that many swore was the January 6 bomber? Does anyone remember Richard Jewell?

Because this cesspool of a leftist school…..at some point there will be a chance to compare the Mass Shooting at Uvalde vs this targeted shooting at Brown.

Topics would be: (I am being general)
Campus Security
Time of Shooting Event
Reaction of on-site/nearby Law Enforcement
Reaction of Browns Quick Response to a Shooting
Total Comms by timeline for reaction/coordinating
On behalf of Brown. In other words how quickly
Did information flow.
Local, State and Fed. There coordination, their individual timeline's of how each responded.
What was the event management structure, who was at the top develop plans and ops for ID'ing and identifying suspect.
Why does the Brown Administration want to have a strangle hold control when it is time to have a team who know how to develop plans and ops during a manhunt event?

In the case of Uvalde, Law Enforcement took the brunt of the blame, there was no benefit of the doubt that Uvalde was a small, rural town and schools are wide open because they are in small towns. Will the Police Chief be ran out of town? Will the Mayor be held accountable. .

Maybe this should be a topic on its own. I just don't believe the level scrutiny that Uvalde faced will be experienced by Brown. It will be interesting; as this plays out, to compare the two

They certainly went full throttle to go after white male, former military staying in a hotel room without really knowing anything other than he was Obama's bogieman.

Obviously going to wait until everything comes out in full, but if it walks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck.....it's probably a duck.

It is beyond time to hold these people accountable and punish them accordingly. I'm also in full support of a complete ban of immigration here from any Muslim country, as should the rest of Americans who have any common sense whatsoever. Between this and Australia, I'm not really sure how much more evidence people need that Muslims aren't trying to assimilate and are here and breeding rapidly in an attempted takeover. We're not far off from complete chaotic violence in Minnesota and MIchigan.

The slow drip of information from Brown University admins, Providence Mayor Smiley, and Police Chief Perez after the tragic shooting is fueling massive distrust. Days later, limited footage, conflicting details, and vague updates make it feel like key facts are being withheld. Even reporters are pressing for transparencywhy the opacity? Real police work solves crimes and is hard work. Running one's mouth is easy and in this case counterproductive. These folks need to shut up and do the hard work!

And to add fuel to the fire, it was pointed out today that the AG's office in Providence with this case is the same office that STILL employs the drunken "I'm an assistant AG!" chick who was all over the web a month or so ago when she was thrown out of a restaurant with her friend. (ETA, according to a google search, she's still out on 6 months unpaid leave)

It truly is a comedy/tragedy in Providence.

Wife said it perfectly last night while we watched the news. Its the Laurel and Hardy show with Benny Hill theme playing in the background.

I'm ashamed that those officers wear a badge and represent themselves as officers of the law. I know this incident happened in Rhode Island, however It's placing a bad light on us officers throughout the rest the country, who actually give a damn about our jobs. Making the rest of us feel as though we do not take this job seriously.

How a police chief can stand there in front of the press and act like a buffoon is mind numbing. I feel for the victims family who have to sit by and deal with this absurdity. The families are being revictimize daily with this s*** show

Of course they haven't. They are obscuring the facts.

At best, they would call zhir a "person of interest." Or can a "they" be called a person? Maybe that's the issue. Brown doesn't know the appropriate articles to use to refer to "them."

I rewatched the "Death of Stalin" last week and can't keep from meshing a Brown University update and the movie. They are so unbelievably clueless to what they are saying and the awkward presence they bring to the camera.

The Mexican CoP, School President and the Mayor are almost characters in a movie.

Wait. Yall think the university knew about this in advance and was fine with it? And had a plan for a "soft landing" if only one student is murdered in broad daylight on campus? It was going from 1 murder to 2 that disputed the plan?

I don't think they knew, but they do know they have been coddling the Palestinian protestors and trans. It's an unexpected attack to their belief system and allowing protestors rule the campus. I'm thinking trying to limit their exposure to lawsuits and declining enrollment.

It won't happen because Uvalde is in a red state and Brown is in a blue fortress. That state is just GONE.

Moving into accessory to murder territory in my book. If this can be proven, I would have no qualms about putting the decision makers in jail for life. If I was this girl's father, let's just say their lives would be in extreme danger
