I'm always amazed at the ability of some criminals to learn skills that I would say are complex and somewhat difficult, like understanding how to steal multiple types of cars, but struggle to learn basic skills that would make them for more prosperous.


Just an aside. These two are monsters that deserve worse than they got.

I understand that they were plea deals, but damn those deals are way too short…20 years to life for murdering someone with a car? F that! If I were a family member I would have tried to force them to trial and deal with the consequences of the juries decision.

Should have been life without parole at the least.

But we all know that there is no equal justice under the law when the perps are members of a class that the Democrats have declared to be protected.

Nevada law dues not allow for juveniles to get life without parole. Minimum 18-20 is about as much as they could get.

Which seems reasonable to me. At age 38 after 20 years behind bars (double their current lifespan) they either learn how to be a productive and member of society that shows remorse and growth for the behavior when they were 17, or continue to be a dirtbag that has to be locked up and separated from the rest of society.

Considering how soft this country is on vehicular manslaughter, that's probably why they actually got sentenced to prison.

If I remember correctly, he had just retired. Worked his @ss off his whole life only to have his just reward stolen from him by this scum.

Send him to mines. The kind you go deep underground and maybe breathes bad stuff. After some years of that might wish was put to death, which would happen when hit adulthood.

Glibness in murder should always meet the most harshest penalty.

F*** a life sentence. Take them outside of city limits on I15, give them a tandem bike and a 60 second head start.

Exactly. Like almost always, way too short. Our injustice system tends to coddle the criminals in society. We are just too soft on criminals and too slow to deal with them. Intentionally take a life, lose your own, regardless of any extenuating circumstances.
