Mis-educated is closer to the word that would apply. "Indoctrination" has a somewhat forced and cultist air, and while that DOES happen now on campuses, much more of it in school is more subtle. There are plenty of smart liberals that wouldn't consciously buy a cult-style delivery. But "facts" that are actually false taught them from grade school forward might not have ever been "re-investigated" by them as they have lives to live.

Its gotten pretty bad of late -- you can almost say since Y2K if you learned it in the "news" or "school" its very dubious at best and may be total garbage. Hard sciences used to be an exception but even that frayed with the gender bender movement crap.

Careful. We probably no longer have the luxury of trying to hard to keep distinguishing but blast it, there are scores of really smart and bright Democratic voters. Just for one reason or another they have bought the MSM's narrative -- especially when they use the phrase "orange man this" or that, or talk of him as a threat to `democracy' while seemingly absolutely oblivious to how blatantly both Obama and Biden were (the latter admin more than the former)

Its all the more baffling, because there is nothing from "our side" news accept uncritically either -- some of what FNC puts out or, the Daily Wire, etc, are self-evidently simplistic or knee-jerk. So its very difficult to relate to a liberal that is sharp also thinking something like CNN or MSNBC has any real credibility.

What alot of them seem to have is some kind of toxic empathy --- and yes, the overwhelming majority are so well off that maybe its just a case of they can afford to overlook how even the more familiar corners or places have become `problematical' after dusk and how much blatant looting of the taxpayer is going on for frauds, and how unaccountable almost any high rank politician is.
