If you would have read more, you would have read what I said was as a joke. Communism does not work. Idiots say the only reason it doesn't work is because it wasn't implemented correctly. I would now argue dangers to society are those who don't read

Sugar also used to be a key Cuban export. Not sure if the sugar industry is still a viable option for them.

If the infrastructure was restored/modernized, it could once again be a worldwide travel destination. The wealth that existed in Cuba pre-Castro is mind boggling and most of those homes (at least in the Vedado and Miramar neighborhoods of Havana) are still standing and functional. Havana was a gorgeous place!!!

Also, the beaches in Varadero and some of the Cayos are still rated as some of the most beautiful in the world. There are "resorts" that still attract visitors from around the world for the sheer beauty of the setting. (I use term "resorts" loosely because they desperately need to be modernized, and it isn't much of a "resort" experience if your guests regularly run out of food. This reportedly happens on a regular basis.)

That's why the headline is funny… it's all the US's fault according to the MSM (which is false, laughable, and an outright lie for those who want to quote one sentence to complain about).

Since you refuse to read my next post (on purpose at this point)……..

100% agree with everything you (and others) have written! That was a tongue in cheek sentence to those who say it can work, if only implemented correctly. I meant it more as a joke, communism is grand if only you do it the 'right way'.

There is no right way, as I pointed out at the end of my comment because it is a flawed concept of governance. Communism does not work because it goes against human nature.
