You still won't know.

Anyone ground level in Africa is there intentionally and with full knowledge of the risk. If some snake-eater has decided they're okay with it, I'm okay with it. Those dudes are doing the good work 24/7

We just hit random targets in Syria (some being fields) and the same in Africa. Not sure why we don't hit actual targets or why the administration feels they have to lie about who they are going after.

Much more likely Tomahawks off a cruiser. Similar in price to AGM-158 JASSM, but logistically much easier to employ. To use a "cheaper" weapon, at an absolute minimum, you're looking at launching several F-15Es and tanker support from the middle east. Lobbing 15 mil in tomahawks from a ship already nearby seems like decent ROI.

There's probably not much more to these terrorists' camps than "open fields"
