I hope she recovers fully.
One older guy I know got a lanyard for his cell phone a few months ago so that he will have it with him if he falls.
I got a lanyard for mine, too, but so that if it slides out of my vest pocket, it won't hit the ground and get smashed like my previous cell phone.
I've fallen three times in the past five years, all because of tripping. Only once did I have my cell phone with me and that was the time I needed it most since I tripped on the roof in the dark while it was snowing. I couldn't get enough traction to get up and had to call someone to help me up.

Please excuse me, but laughing your life choices. The last time I broke a leg I was on a steep driveway covered with ice and then about 6 inches of snow, wearing flops - clearing the rear window.
My wife instituted new rules.

Rocky,
About two years ago my now 75 yo MIL fell and broke her shoulder and ended up with a titanium shoulder. And now she has a 103 MPH fastball, it's really incredible to watch! Ok, not really.
It took quite a bit of rehab but she's fully recovered and doing well. It'll take some time and hard work but your sister will come through this. Best of luck to her. She's in our prayers.
