No one should've been fooled. He was swarmy and smarmy, which, since Trump wasn't in the primaries, gave a certain portion of the base someone they loved supporting, likely because he was the only one on stage squirting lemon juice in people's eyes.

In the real world, though, most people don't like that. That he didn't make Trump's inner circle should've said all that needed to be said about him.

Explain to me, like I'm a 3rd grader, why bullying anyone off Twitter (a/k/a X) is a good thing?

I still really like the guy every time I listen to him. I want him to become governor of OH and be successful, so he can get political executive experience and we can see how real his actions are after so many great words over several years. His book, "Truths, the Future of America First" was actually really great.

In this instance, it is funny because he has previously stated that you shouldn't be scared of your comments section and the reason he gives is farcical. It's sad and pathetic that someone wanting to govern an entire state is scared of the comments on the Internet. It hopefully helps shed light as to what he is really like to folks on the fence or in his camp and keeps him from being elected.

The man doesn't believe in American exceptionalism, except for him being exceptional and e wants to replace American workers with foreigners. How any real American can square these two things and still support him is kind of crazy.

The man is free to say things that I or anyone on here agrees with or disagrees with. He (like any public servant) should answer to himself and only himself; guided by his own moral compass. If he can't do that, then he has no business representing the people anywhere.

That's just a theory of course, but I agree with you. And if it's coming directly from him it is just as bad, especially coming a month after saying that if you can't handle the comments you're not fit to lead.

the dude has been pretty bold and unapologetic with his words before. pretty weird if he'd really let comments on social media "bully" him off social media.

He needs to understand what to say and when as he is a politician now. But did he say anything untrue?

I mean, he's not wrong. Social media is definitely a distortion of what the populace truly wants and believes. Reddit is full of basement dwelling leftists who all think everyone believes as they do. Facebook is boomers who all think everyone believes as they do. Even TexAgs is mainly right leaning, and our views aren't indicative of the greater population.

I think EVERYONE would be better served getting off social media and actually experiencing the real world.

I don't even want to pretend to know what's going on right now with this leaving social media or being bullied off social media or donors not wanting him on social media or whatever this OP is so excited about. and I haven't really been following much about his gubernatorial efforts in Ohio, but I guess maga really wants to destroy Vivek because he defended the H1-B visa program. Politically, he should have been more careful with his words, but I thought he'd be able to recover enough from those visa comments six months ago. I think it's pretty disingenuous and just a plain lie that Vivek "talks crap about American workers".
