We should refill it. Maybe we are, but I have not heard a peep.

That is underway but not complete

If you compute how far you can go in an average vehicle on one hour of minimum wage, gasoline has never been cheaper.

Yeah, but 65% of that is just a tax going straight to Cali govt to import 3rd world people to replace you

So you've got that going for you

Random thought on gas prices. If you were alive in the 80s and 90s, you remeber driving all over town to save $.05 a gallon. For a 20 gallon fill up, that saved you a dollar (which had decent value).

I realized the Chevron with "high " gas prices would cost me an additional $4.50 for a fill up, which won't buy me much of anything.

I understand that O&G folks hate it but cheap gas is absolutely huge for millions of people who drive for a living. Ask your uber or lyft driver how much it means to their bottom line when it comes to paying their bills with that job.

My issue is high gas prices are so often blamed for high prices on airline tickets, groceries....just about everything.

But when gas prices plummet, you sure don't see the costs of anything else plummet.

CEOs and Corps again.

When gas goes up, they see the chance to gouge us.
When gas goes down, they see the chance to up their bonuses.

All roads lead to the same place.

I'm in Kingwood and $2.09 at HEB is the lowest I've seen. Per GasBuddy.com, it's $2.06 at Costco and $2.05 at Sams in Humble.

Yes, us O&G folks hate it. But it also begs the question - since oil (and gasoline) prices are low and trending even lower for the foreseeable future, does Big Oil still get labeled as the evil empire? Or is that only when oil prices are up above $90 and majors/midcap companies are making strong profits again? I know the answer, but still think it's funny that this industry can NEVER win.

People would spend $2 in gasoline driving to save two and a half dollars on a fill up

Whoever came up with the FJB stickers "I did that!", needs to do the same now for Trump.

Of course some lunatic Dem might freak out and burn down the store so maybe that's been prohibited.
I don't think you know me.

Yeah, but I thought i heard Trump say a couple of days ago that since gas prices have come down so should the prices of things everyone buys. I'm assuming he meant like groceries and other goods.

If that's the case, that would be great. It would be the first time, but it would be great nonetheless.

Yes Trump is the only one who actually wants to make a difference to people's lives. When he says something, there is pressure on corps to change things. Since real free markets don't exist, and are imaginary, an outside push is needed. Biden was too senile to do anything, Trump is.

The main problem that prevents free market action are that the number of players are limited and they somehow collude, actively or passively. When they manage to do so, there is nothing the consumer can do.

I welcome low gas prices. Let's see for how long.

Back in the 70's when us Boomers started messing up the world I bought gas at a Shamrock station in SA for .19 cents a gallon...............

Speaking of, I remember Diamond Shamrocks all over the place in SA growing up. Then they were all converted to Valero.

But when I was back in town in October I noticed Diamond Shamrock signage coming back. Was happy to see that.
