This ban was for welfare kings and queens. Indians don't go on welfare, they may steal our jobs and undercut and do all kinds of unethical things to get those jobs.

Almost all of these people do.

That is the intent of the program - a lottery system to get people into the US (regardless of their talent/education level etc.) help them become productive, and enhance America's reputation globally as the land of opportunity + foster goodwill. I've seen this happen anecdotally.

Without going into the merits of the program, there should be a minimum time period after which you are off government assistance. For many, this doesn't happen. Because if you were lazy in your shi$hole, you are lazy in America.

This is a great step.

I don't buy the welfare line several of these countries have average household incomes above the US average meaning they are paying above average taxes and receiving below average welfare. Also if we are talking welfare and ignoring Mexico it seems kind of silly, though I can understand why a ban there does more harm than good.

Agreed. Show me mass amounts of Thais, Cambodians and Laotians on welfare in the US. That is just Trump messing with them with thier ongoing border dispute.

Bahamas, St Kitts and Nevis, and Fiji are odd to me, but that's a narrow scope compared to what the administration knows. The silent partner at my company has a gigantic house in the Bahamas he lets upper management stay at and in my times there, I've never felt anything odd with the locals. Same in the one time at both SK&N and Fiji. And I try to venture into the public scene at most places I go (outside of my one venture to Israel years ago that they took us over to Jordan in a short trip to Qasar Al-yahud (spelling?) on the river where it's hypothesized Jesus was baptized by JTB

I mean the only Laotian I have ever known well was my college aged illicit materials supplier (many moons ago). He got busted, reformed his life, and has now made close to millions a year as an author of travel recommendations. At that was all having to stay within one county for 5 years on his probation as a 21-26 year old.

Can you provide examples of those 3 funneling extremism. Curious. In the past Indonesia and Philippines had funneled and hosted more and are not on the list.

I am glad President Trump has suspended processing visas from 75 countries because we should vet immigrants on whether they will contribute to the society or live on welfare benefits.
