Turns out the movie is good. Not only is Melania beautiful and elegant, but she comes across as kind and authentic. Absolutely no hint of being a bore or self-aggrandizing, sanctimonious or self-righteous like Mike Obama or Dr Jill.

It took Don 3 tries, but he nailed it.

Reagan I believe was the last movie I went to a theater to see. (maybe Matt Walsh in Am I a Racist?) Was an amazing movie. I used to go to 1 or 2 movies a week a couple of decades ago. Hollywood destroyed movies for me.

My wife drug me to it today. I voted for Trump in the general all 3x and I like Melania. I thought the movie was awful. Just not entertaining for me . I don't care about all the wardrobe details , etc etc and it came across to me that they are super vain and living in a different world than I have ever lived in. I think that's the absolute truth of it and it doesn't change anything with regards to my generally supporting what Trump is trying to accomplish. 3 hrs of my life lost tho when you count the transit .

Melania's career was in fashion. Combing thru the fine details of the neckline of her inaugural outfit is a sign of her attention to detail in trade she's immersed in. The movie is about her, and wouldnt make sense if they didn't show all that in detail. It was completely in context, and not a sign of vanity or anything weird. These are people who live in a world of galas and benefit balls and travel by private plane. It's not my world, but it works fine for the Trumps.

It's a good movie and a good inside look at what we watched on TV around the inauguration. Very real and a great way to contextualize Melania compared with the two awful ones who preceded her.

My wife has mentioned seeing it and I replied with a hopeful '"it sounds like a great girls night out movie". So I'm really hoping some of her friends will want to go. Or that it will exit the theaters before there's an opportunity to go.

Not a political thing....just not into those types of movies (royal family, first lady, how being super rich is super hard, etc.). It sounds like a perfect fit for a mostly female audience in their late 50's and up though.

Good call on ladies night out imo.

They went after her ten year old son. She's handled it all with class and dignity and this will be no different.
