I'm really struggling to try and get a straight answer why folks want illegals here.

1) has ICE had a few misfires and grabbed the wrong people? I can see how this is bad. Are they making tons of mistakes in doing their jobs? Holman said the priority is grabbing the illegal criminals but leftists just assume he is grabbing illegal kids and grandmothers.

2) the easy button is to say TDS

3) are the bleeding heart liberals trying to save the whole world of people in poverty? They can't stand the sight of seeing kids getting screwed over by their parents putting them in harms way?

4) we are trying to clean up the mess from Biden. I guess they think that Trump is mean and Biden is a humanitarian and therefore can't apply logic to borders.

I'm just trying to understand why open borders are bad and why leftists want this……trying not to idealize the whole thing with leftists jokes but figure out why they are so passionate about open borders and not rounding up people.

It's 1000% this. Remember during the election campaign how the entire nation agreed that there was a border crisis?
Remember when the left was bragging that Kamala was a tough-as-nails 'Border Czar?'
Remember when Hillary railed against open borders and said that illegals had to go back?

There are plenty of conservative folks in cities and rural areas on social media who are against illegals, unless they live in their neighborhoods, befriend their children, date or marry their children, attend their churches, etc.

So, is illegal only something libs want, maybe if you're looking at it as a percentage of the population. Is it only libs who are fine with some (i.e., "the good ones") illegals? Only a fool would think otherwise.

The only missteps that ICE has had which are very few, is due to the funded agitators and unpeaceful insurgents who are trying to interfere with the LEO's. Get rid of the sanctuary cities and states and then they can fo their job more effectively and safely.

Which is how they should rule as the census is not just about counting people but it is how we determine representation in the House side of Congress.

It's complicated as the language just says to count persons, but SCOTUS could rule the census will count all people but non-citizens will not be counted toward representation. That is another opportunity for fraud of course, but in no way should illegals be counted in the census. Missouri AG is suing over this very point right now.

IF the agitators (and that's ALL they are at this point) would stay TF away from the agents, they'd be able to do their job peacefully and relatively quietly. There also wouldn't need to be as many agents, because they wouldn't need to many to be basically crowd control.


This is another thing I blame social media for, because everyone wants to be out there to get video to post to get clicks and likes.

Social media was supposed to bring us together, but like all things that may start as a good idea, it's turned into one of the most divisive things ever created.

This is some of it, but the bigger goal is to gain seats in the House of Representatives by counting illegals in the census the same as we do native born citizens. It gives blue states a disproportionate share of the House districts/seats and pretty much guarantees them a permanent majority if it not stopped, either through deportation or by court mandate.

This is why they are fighting the deportations with everything they've got.

That's part of it also for sure, but they go together. A lot of these immigrants come from backgrounds that are religiously conservative and want the opportunity to work to improve their lives. Capitalism is attractive to them. Many of them come from socialistic countries run by dictators and they've seen the failures of it. If the Dems let them in and they vote red, then it backfires on the Dems. A bigger representation that isn't solidly blue isn't a good thing for them. That's why they also have to bait them with "free stuff" to hook them on to team blue.

The bigger goal is the permanent majority, by letting them in, counting them in the census, and getting them addicted to team blue.

It seems easy to say the left wants illegals because they think illegals will vote for them, but the fact of the matter is that aside from the immigration issue (which obviously is a big one), immigrants coming over from south of the border generally have values that align much more with traditional Republican values and most are fleeing leftist governments so it would seem counterintuitive to assume they would vote leftists back in to power.

if you really wanted to put an end to all of this have trunp rumor that he is going to provide amnesty to all illegals but they will be required to register as republicans. and vote that way moving forward.

What I find hypocritical is the people in Chicago, NYC, and other cities that wanted the illegals out for getting the "free" stuff that they were not getting have "disappeared", replaced by those that now want the illegals to stay.

We hear that all of the time, yet Hispanics still tend to vote blue. If the dems gave amnesty to all of the illegals, they would have a massive permanent voting block. You are also forgetting that dems entice illegals by giving them tax funded "free stuff". It's asinine to think that a ton of illegals, turned citizen by the dems, would vote anything but democrat.

The real answer is that the cheapest labor will always come from the exploitation of illegal immigrants. Field work, construction, plumbing, electrical work, and so on. Day laborers are significantly cheaper than having to follow the US labor laws.
