less Shinedown sounds like a good thing

Kind of odd as they have previously told the leftist mob to stuff it.

Wasn't even aware there was outrage directed at anyone regarding this show.

Shinedown is one of the few decent rock bands still going that didn't originate in the 1900s... They've toured with several of the unabashedly right-wing performers on that list with no political issues before and they're all from the south and have performed for the troops overseas. I assume this is less "screw Trump and/or his supporters" and more "we're not big enough to afford losing half our audience".

Avoiding politics is pretty common for most rock bands, or at least the ones that have republican members (Disturbed, AX7, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Metallica, Megadeath, 5FDP, etc). Hell, if a bandmember even hints that they might have a couple conservative values they get put on blast by the rest of the industry and labeled as the enemy somehow.

Lotta good bands on that list (and some that aren't my style). Shinedown are cowards and they always gave off a concerned moderate vibe.

I honestly cannot name 1 Shinedown song.

Also, I thought i read that Ludacris also dropped out of the event.

The local paper in Greenville is reporting the entire event has been cancelled. That's more than virtue signaling. That's a straight up rebuke of Kid Rock.

I read this is a multi-day, multi-city event. One of the concerts will be in Bellville, Texas.

This small towns probably didn't want to have a bunch of libs showing up to protest… I doubt they think it's sorry the hassle.

Which means if it wasn't political before it is now.

I recognize half of those bands but I've never heard of shine down. I hadn't heard of this concert either, but now I have thanks to their virtue signaling. Streisand effect.

they've been around for a while (20+ years). I don't recognize a song until around 2008. They had a hit, though, a couple years ago.

Shinedown was lucky to even be included in that lineup. Haven't put out a good song in 10+ years.

I looked into this a little and apparently this little menstrual cramp is all because the two main organizers are Kid Rock and Jason Aldean. The liberal music industry is intent upon punishing them because they are patriotic. What a gutless move by Shinedown. True ******* that still haven't learned that bowing down to liberals won't make them like you. I don't believe for a second that this was an independent decision. They were told by their bosses in the industry to back out. Gutless pap smears.

It's basically a conservative/right-wing concert tour, which would-have/has plenty of support.

But since then Kid Rock has really leaned into being a far-right caricature from Idiocracy and while many of these artists are perfectly happy being categorized as conservative or even right-wing, they aren't interested in going to the extreme side whether due to not wanting to alienate fanbase or simply their own beliefs.
