He can act better than that. The problem with acting like a petulant jerk is it turns away the marginal voter from the R party and hurts us in upcoming elections. It's not just a thing where it only impacts him... it affects us too.

He'll never change. And some folks won't stop calling him out for it either.

Yes, but we get a lot of folks who lose sight of the ball and then go vote for the party they supposedly have nothing in common with simply because they want the noise to stop. Thus, cutting off their nose to spite their face.

It's partially why Biden won in 2020. I know many R's who voted for Biden because of the sentiment I read in this thread. I get being tired of him and wanting the next Republican in place now,but a lot of dumbasses will go vote Democrat next time around because of mean tweets.

Y'all don't be one of those dumbasses.

I've never voted Dem and never will.

But I don't assign all the blame to those dumbasses either. Blaming voters is a weak position. Trump owns some of it too. That's why we're upset when does that stupid ****. He doesn't get a pass because he has a fragile ego.

Sure but when your alternative is someone with the stated intent to destroy the country then we don't have much choice. And those dumbasses still voted for Biden knowing he was an open borders policy advocate and a mentally incompetent person.

I don't disagree on the dumbasses, but I'm not giving Trump a pass for his behavior either just because there are dumbasses in this world. He needs to own it and act right. It's an "and" -- not an "or"

Let me get this straight: I'm supposed to disregard all of the good President Trump has done so far because he had the audacity to praise someone that came to visit the WH and that person said some good things about that visit; then that person starts with the trashing the President again on a national/international stage and President Trump acts in kind? Do I have that right?

Everyone whining about "decorum" are just patsies for the liberal media.

The instant it looks like we have another candidate lined up it's going to be "WORSE THAN TRUMP? WHY [insert name here] IS ACTUALLY EVEN MORE OF A NAZI FASCISM MAGA THREAT TO DEMOCRACY" and all the chickensh-t Romney McCain McConnells will bend over backwards to apologize for it while the Democrats continue to run overt Communists and never have to even answer questions about it.

^^^Voted for Obama^^^

I actually didn't vote for Obama. I voted R all the way from 1992 until 2016.

But voting for Obama isn't an insult. Obama is a classy man who is educated and represented our country well.

I'd love for him to communicate like Thatcher during PM questioning. That wasn't on the ballot.

It was a choice between a smart guy, who while all elbows, works largely on my behalf and a DEI nitwit who would work completely against my interests.

This binary choice in 2024 cannot be undone by whinging online in 2026.

Here's something you TDS people just can't seem to grasp.

Most of us who support him, support him because of his POLICIES.

Obviously, he's an egotist, he's thin-skinned, and he can't stand not to constantly be praised and take credit for everything.

So what? Who cares? Ignore it.

His policies and implementation thereof are the best in my lifetime, and I'm in my sixth decade.

You don't have to be his friend or sit down and have drinks with him. He doesn't know who you are.

But he's making your life better and this country a hell of a lot stronger.

He's implemented some good policies, but his behavior isn't unimportant. Trump's beef with McCain is the reason Obama care is still around and his idiotic pokes at Canada last year before their election torpedo'd a conservative's campaign. Now we've got an idiot socialist who's cozying up with China.

The Greenland drama will probably have consequences too.

We had a chance there to toss it out and start over. His behavior can have consequences for policy success or failure, especially in a razor-thin House and Senate. I'll be right there to defend him also when he's unfairly attacked, which is just about daily with the Dems and their lapdog media. A lame duck president is not one who can't get reelected because they are in their last term.

A lame duck president is defined as a president in his last term in office who does not have either houses of Congress on his side. That's why he's lame. He can't get anything done.

Trump has both the Senate and the house on his side for another few months yet, at least, and depending on the results of the midterm elections, possibly the rest of his term.

I can do this, too.

A lame duck president is an elected official in their final, post-election term, who holds power but has diminished influence because a successor has already been chosen or they are ineligible for re-election. This period, usually between November's election and January's inauguration, allows them to act without fear of electoral consequences, often resulting in controversial executive orders, pardons, or final policy pushes.

He's not a lame duck.

He has 3 years left on his term and controls both houses of Congress as of today
