I focus on policy also and prefer his over the Dem alternative by a light year. Another poster made a correct point that Trump's behavior in the past impacted McCain's vote on Obamacare. We had a chance there to toss it out and start over. His behavior can have consequences for policy success or failure, especially in a razor-thin House and Senate. He's a smart man on many things but not when it comes to his behavior. I think you can support most of his policies and still insist that he improve his behavior, coming back to the "and" word.

I'll be right there to defend him also when he's unfairly attacked, which is just about daily with the Dems and their lapdog media. One of my bigger political joys was seeing him re-elected after they threw everything at him, lied, and abused government power and it just made him stronger. Nov 2024 was very gratifying.
