So would you have rather had it nuked? Or salted? Why do you care who owned it before Huffines bought it?

It needs to be investigated. He purchased it under an anonymous LLC, as can be done in New Mexico, placed his son as LLC manager, and his wife signed the tax documents. If it's just a business transaction, why the secrecy? Considering the fact that he runs for a different office every few years, why risk purchasing a property with such a sordid history? The Epstein case is a world wide scandal touching thousands of leaders, so why risk attaching your name to it?

What needs to be investigated? The transaction or the ranch?

No doubt. This is a super odd take as if the land is somehow cursed and is only able to support sex trafficking.

Obviously you aren't in the top 1% or know anyone who is. This is extremely common. Hell, the majority of the ranches in Texas are just like this, the other ones are too low in value to worry about.

What do you do for a living? People buy properties and businesses using LLCs all the time. The use of an LLC to buy a ranch isn't some nefarious scheme. As a matter of fact, it's more likely nowadays that buying a ranch individually. Your ignorance, envy or black helicopter mindset (maybe all three?) is making a mountain out of a molehill. Someone was going to buy it. Why not Huffines? If Billy Bob bought it under an LLC would you think he's a scumbag? Or, is your concern and argument limited only to Christians running for office. Your concern/argument is irrational or smells of something else.

As another has already been said... It's land. What has done there by the previous owner or what the previous owner did with other properties has zero bearing on the new owner and the new use of the land.

Epstein was, by all accounts, a disgusting human and the world is a better and marginally safer place with him dead. But lets not think that what he was doing required specialized infrastructure, it's just a ranch. So it's got a main house and possibly some bunk houses, guest houses, pool cabanas? Perhaps some remodeling is in order?

Just spitballing here, but did the creep even ever spend time there? Or was it primarily a place to store a pile of cash as a hedge against inflation? That's the primary driver of the ultra wealthy to own real estate.

He reportedly spent time there. At least one of his victims said that she was assaulted on the ranch.

No, I think my prior posts pretty much sums up what this thread is.

If it's just within the last few days, then they had no clue until the media reported on it. I can't find the thread on Reddit you're talking about, but yes, I dropped my support for him after learning about the purchase. And the funds did not go to the victims because the victims fund closed in 2021. Keep supporting him if you want, but this is certainly valid news to know about a candidate.

But why do you care so much about this to drop your support of him?

What do you expect to happen with the property? Are you just wanting someone to blow it up and salt the earth?

At least a good steward now owns it and not a degenerate criminal.

Huffines has always branded himself as a Christian, ultra-conservative, and pro-family, which lines up well with my convictions as a homeschool father who just wants to government to leave me alone. He was the most conservative Senator during his term.

Being associated with Epstein in any form is problematic for me. The fact that it was bought in secret and it's only being disclosed now because of a lot of digging is suspect. Obviously, I'm in the minority on this one, so he may win without a runoff if the latest polls are right.

I have no problem with it.

It does sound kind of overpriced to me, though. But if it went to help pay the victims, that's fine.

There are lots of people who had legit business deals with Epstein too.

I don't see the issue with this land purchase here.

And I am not particularly a fan of Huffines either.

Merely being linked to Epstein in any social, business, or other dealing is enough for many non-critical thinkers to claim they are automatically guilty of some kind of wrong doing.

So since Huffines is out for buying a ranch on behalf of Trump and Jeff in order to hide the bodies and crimes before the Dems get back in charge and tear the place apart whilst Ro and Massie sip on mocktails, do we have a good conservative Democrat we can vote for?

Maybe Minnesota can give us their CFO guy. Oh wait, they just got rid of the whole position.

Still funny to me how some thought this thread would go and how it went.

People are way too skeptical and informed these days to fall for such weak ass trolls.

This should about wrap up the topic...

In 2023, four years after Epstein's death, San Rafael Ranch had been listed on the open market for years and was scheduled for public auction.

At the time of the sale, it was marketed that the proceeds would go to the victims. It has since been confirmed by the estate's attorneys that proceeds from the sale benefited the victims.

What the enemy once meant for evil, God can redeem for good. That's why we renamed the property San Rafael, after the saint associated with physical and spiritual healing, and began plans immediately to remake it as a Christian retreat, reclaiming it for Jesus. Even the new entrance will reflect that mission and will read, "BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO COME IN THE NAME OF THE LORD."

By 2024, my family's ownership was public and had been posted on social media.

We have always maintained an open line of communication with local authorities. No law enforcement agency has ever approached me to request access, and I have always said unequivocally that any such request would be met with immediate access and full cooperation.

This is what desperate political opponents do: last-minute lies and dirty tricks.

One of the anonymous "tips" the FBI got about Epstein accused George HW Bush of raping little boys and eating their feet.

It was marked as "not credible" like a huge chunk of the Epstein files because they were simply called in hoax "tips."
