[Now that military action has started, we are going to keep this thread cleaned up for breaking news and discussion about the ongoing military conflict. It looks like it may be a few days…..but Iran is about to get thumped.

I expect Israel and the US will be doing most of the grunt work.

Here is my guess:

Air Campaign initially , then SF arming friendly Iranians will be the boots on the ground.

Last for 2 to 3 weeks but there may be regime change in the first 10-14 days.

Finally something will be done and Cuba will be next.

Sounds like OPs post is exactly what you've described.
We're not gonna send entire divisions into Iran but you can't help them do it themselves without some SpecOps guys on the ground. That's just reality.

Who gives a **** about fighting Israel's wars for them anymore. I have no idea why anybody wants this. The general population does not benefit from it. Some CEO's and elites do.

SF main function will help to get arms and intel to maximize the effectiveness's of the good guys in Iran who will be shedding blood for the return of their freedom.

It is my guess two carrier groups, the Israeli's, other allied nation's and even a few Arab states may help. It may sound like a shock and awe prediction, but I predict there will be a massive, overwhelming air campaign that will neuter bad guys and the good guys will be-able to get the upper hand and take over.

Just understand this is a transformational point in history. There have been 8 presidents that have been dealing with Iran and their Ayatollah's. Iran has been a destabilizing force in the region. It is time for them to go and this president is the one to make it happen.


….then Cuba will be next to fall.

I support all of that.

And yes, we are still yapping with the Iranians, but no deal is expected. It would be insane to have spent all that money/effort to build up forces there only to sign another bull**** deal with the mullahs.

Completely disagree. Radical Islam is the most destructive and destabilizing force on earth, on par with Radical Liberalism. Iran is right in the middle of the rise of Radical Islam and is possibly the biggest sponsor of terrorism on earth. I'd argue the world cannot move forward until the terrorists and their primary sponsor are dealt with in a decisive way. This is a decisive way and it needed to happen immediately after the hostage crisis when Carter was president. Or Reagan. Those two and HW get somewhat of a pass since there was a bigger enemy at that time but all presidents since Clinton have failed in this regard. That we've let this problem fester for 40+ years while we did nothing useful in that region reflects overall poor leadership on our part. From Clinton forward we've had no desire to acknowledge the growing threat that is Radical Islam and now it must be dealt with. We're seeing them take over European nations via immigration which must also be dealt with and we're slowly seeing them wake up to that as well. The spread of Islam is a problem for the west and eliminating the sponsors of terror from Iran is a good start.

It's already been reported that if/when we attack we are planning and assuming a multi-week campaign. Thus, all of the assets deployed there.

Arming local Iranians is not bold at all. We already snuck in thousands of Elon's Starlink devices to help the locals fight their insurgency and get the truth out. Arming them with small arms is not that big of a reach from there. We've done it the world over for decades.

I like to think of it as Spring is coming for the Iranian people but Winter has to come to the Mullahs first . There will be collateral damage of course and it won't be some silky smooth transition but it's way past due. The world and particularly the region will be better off for it tho.

Regime change to what exactly? I am all for putting the Ayotollah and his mullah henchmen in the same prison as Maduro but who takes their place? It isn't as if they have a big bench of leaders with Western values to pull from.

Question is does Iran respond with the sleeper cells in the US and operation homeland (believed to be 5000 spread across the US in independent 4 man teams)

That would be a good reason to crash the dollar/economy and bring on the new economy/digital world.

Right smack in the middle of the 2nd seal and headed for the 3rd being financial and a rebalancing of the scales before WW3. Wild times. The Apocalypse is LIVE!

How does Iran afford 5,000 trained fighters indefinitely in the United States? At $50,000 each to sustain them that is at an absolute minimum $250 million a year. The figure would likely be a lot higher, especially considering the amount of graft that would occur on those payments. That is more than they give to Hamas annually. If they have 5,000 fighters, they would have unleashed at least a few before the last time that we bombed them to show how much they can actually hurt us instead of just lobbing rockets at Israel. Insurgents are not like a nuclear weapon that will mean regime change if used.
