Jonathan Alter was a smarmy leftist pundit on the networks back in the 80's or so that would be perfect on PMSNBC currently. Hated Reagan and any other Republican who dared to criticize the Holy Grail of either the Anointed Press or the Democrats in Congress. Complete weasel.

Obama is the worst by far. The others listed were venal or stupid but at least Americans. Obama was/is an evil persona foisted upon us by forces that wish America to end. Too many holes in this man's past that were never answered. If we make it, history will judge him harshly.

Trump will go down in history eventually for saving this country from third world oppression and illegal invasion.

I was thinking Biden- King of the auto-pen. Hard to see a man that didn't even know what room he was in as anything but the worst. But the more I think about it. If Biden hadn't been so out of it, he may have been far worse- able to implement leftest policies efficiently further expediting the fall of the West even more rapidly.

The left are morons in every way imaginable.

"Of course, Trump's name will still be used as shorthand for this Era of Bad Feeling, just as Joe McCarthy's is for the early 1950s. But after he's gone, Washington will follow the example of New York and strip his name off of nearly everything he doesn't own. It'll eventually come off the Kennedy Center, and his new White House ballroomdoubling as a community center for local kidswill be named for no one."

When an Obama sycophant screeches this loud, you know Trump isn't just over the target - he's dropping bombs.

That opinion piece looks like it was written by a Texags lib poster. Intellectually lazy. A 14 year old could blow holes in the stupidity in the article.

Is this what passes for journalism nowadays?

Yeah bill Clinton was awful. Couldn't keep it in his pants. No telling how many times he played stupid games. These days the Chinese would have owned him given he was such an easy blackmail target.

Still amazing to me how Biden, a guy with a 50 year history in political office, showing his stupidity on a damn near daily basis during that time was the choice of Obama to rig the primaries in his favor. Yeah, yeah useful idiot but the messenger still counts as well as the message.

Biden was a lousy choice as a messenger, only eclipsed by the train wreck that is Kamala.

Oh at least 45 or 47 times. Convicted felon, pedo protector, adjudicated rapist, abuser of women, racist, Putin-lovery.

But miles better than Obama and Biden.

President Donald Trump has done the most in advancing American interests. Good nations enforce immigration law. We can't just let everyone who claims they are trying to claim asylum or escape their horrid conditions in their home country. Democrats continue to despise accountability and blame the border crisis they created on President Trump and ICE. They claim that parents are being ripped apart from their children because they weren't born inside a made-up border. It's beyond clear that Democratic leaders are intentionally enabling illegal immigration to register them to become future Democratic voters. Also, most illegal aliens are trying to dismantle the American culture. For these reasons, the Democrats hate President Trump so much.

Biden is the worst president ever, period, end of conversation.

I'll die on that hill.

Biden is merely an honorable mention compared to the legacy of Jimmy Carter, a hateful bigot ahead of his time. What he accomplished in the scope of death and destruction, in both 4 years (when he was not demented) and in his post-presidency Joe Biden's staff could only fantasize about.

The real failures of this country are Congress. They refuse to do their jobs because every vote, every soundbite is used against them by their own parties.

They don't legislate anything productive. It's all theater.

Jimmy Carter was a good man, but a horrible president. He not only gave away the Panama Canal, but he paid one of the most corrupt, evil governments to take it. The Panama Canal had been efficiently run by the PCC (Panama Canal Commission) which employed many locals and boosted their economy. When Carter gave it away, the new managers fired most of the local workforce and pocketed the money the US provided. Expensive machinery was not maintained and rusted in the tropical rain forest. They blamed us, and we gave them more money, which they again pocketed. Eventually, Reagan/Bush extracted Noriega, but we (the US) became vilified in the eyes of the Panamanian people. but if you look at pre-1977 photos, the canal zone, owned by the PCC was like a slice of America. We called then "zonians", Americans who grew up in the Zone, would be sent by their parents to US colleges, then come back to the Zone to work, live and raise families. That unique American culture has now been lost, thanks to Carter.

OK, Biden was worse. Carter had some good points, but we should never have given up the canal.

I concur. In the 70s, the horrendous crime rate was confined to NYC, Chicago, LA, Detroit, Boston and Philadelphia. The radical leftists were confined to elite colleges and small liberal arts colleges, and the economic problems were mostly a symptom of the auto and Steel industries being out maneuvered by the Japanese. Most of the rest of the nation lived in a peaceful, mostly family centered, and mostly God-fearing existence in the flyover country.

According to the people who do this for a living (vs random vibes and feels), James Buchanan still rates as the worst president ever.

Public opinion polls (ie vibes and feels) are all over the place but this forum will be orgasmically pleased that Biden ranks below Trump in most recent surveys.

The people that do it for a living are also using vibes they just hide them in rubrics. Had an American Presidency prof at Bush that was a big Nixon fan. He would rail about his colleagues that do such rankings.

But they would totally tell the unbiased truth on their favorite POTUS and not give any personal or political slants.

Economically, maybe. Illegal immigration, geopolitical, cultural strife, world power, national pride and preservation, not even close. "Fundamentally transform" started with Barry to completely subvert the American way of life and create racial and social division.

1. Reagan destroyed communism in the world the way that all great men destroy communism->with a helicopter ride. I know the story is mythic, but there is a ton of truth to the story.

2. Because of #1, we won the cold war in the 1980's.

3. You grew up in the 1980s, no? My world is best represented by Stranger Things during that era, just without any monsters. The cultural strife of the 1970's was replaced with the patriotism of Top Gun and Rocky Balboa.

4, Reagan wasn't perfect. He botched on illegal immigration when he was governor of CA, and the way that we won the cold war was we just simply outspent USSR on defense capabilities. And, Trump has accomplished a lot in foreign policy, probably more than anyone else since Reagan. But to say that his accomplishments in foreign policy are "not even close" to Trump? That's just straight delusional.

Um, you said the 70's which was Carter and that's who I thought you were referring to. Reagan was the 80's.
