My wife and I were visiting Lost Maples and got an AirBnB in Utopia, Texas. They had a copy of 7 Days In Utopia on DVD so we watched it, not knowing Robert Duval was in it.
Really cheesy movie, but he was great in it as usual. We drove around town and were able to see pretty much all of the filming locations.
RIP Robert.

Apparently they did it in one take. Only had the jets for 20 minutes. The fact that he didn't flinch is amazing.
Jesus. I just read his NYT obit. It might be easier to list the great movies he wasn't in. Totally forgot about the original True Grit and To Kill a Mockingbird

Agreed.... I didn't know until today that the ending in the movie wasn't the original one (if this is a 'real' video and their description is correct). While I like the theatrical ending better, this one isn't bad either.

Well - it's a movie, not a documentary.
So many incredible roles but this is a line that always comes to mind for me.

One of the best actors of all time. My personal favorite was his portrayal of Frank Burns in the M*A*S*H movie.

As the son of a Marine Corps F4 Phantom fighter pilot, I can say with authority that his role in The Great Santini should have won him an award.
Great Santini might be my favorite role of his.
One of my favorite acting performances of his. This movie was his labor of love and not well known but it is a masterpiece. Great roles from Farrah Fawcett and Billy Bob Thornton as well.
Celebrate Robert Duvall's acting career by watching him in a role you've likely never seen. It got him a best actor in a leading role nomination.
