There is a contentious thread on this on the Entertainment board. I am telling yall right now, he is the next Democrat superstar, book it. The next Obama...but a white howdy-doody looking fake Christian instead. He will be president within the next 10-15 years. Dude is a complete snake but is going to deceive a lot of people with his kindness and the fact that he "goes to seminary". There go all of the low info soccer moms and Christians who vote with their feelings instead of their brain.
This guy is going to be a real problem. Which is crazy, because he is the most square-saltine looking mofo you could ever imagine.
The Bible repeatedly warns about false preachers like him. According to this clown, the word abortion doesn't appear in the bible, so that makes it ok.
It doesn't make it okay. It does mean that people shouldn't be saying it's (abortion) wrong because of anything having to do with their religion though, would it not?
Depends.
Are you a politician or a pastor? For a pastor to say that is heresy. Politicians are snakes, they will say whatever they need to win.
Great points. I couldn't agree more.
Your thoughts for the average person who might say that?
It would make me sad that people would normalize abortion.
I listened to Talaricos' interview on Joe Rogan. His views on the Bible, miraculously mirror every Democrat talking point. It was pretty shallow reasoning too, and Joe should know better. Didn't call him out on some of his BS.
Again, the Bible warns us more of heretics, and false teachers more than anything else, and Talarico was extremely disappointing. If he wins, he will lead tens of thousands down the wrong path.
I don't think abortion should be normalized. I'm just asking about the average person using their religion or Bible as the support to go after those who are, at least, pro choice.
In the OT, there are multiple references to God knowing who we are before we are born. He is said to have created us in our mother's womb. In the OT, it is very clear that the teachings are that unborn people are still human beings. Arguing against life beginning at conception when referring to the Bible is a giant, losing hand.
There are also several references to God destroying peoples because of their sin, and often one of those sins is child sacrifice. And that is what abortion is.
I get that non-Christians might not care, but the Bible is pretty clear. For Talarico to claim that it is not, tells me that he is a snake politician disguised as a pastor.
