Video has been released of the FBI RAIDING the home of Los Angeles school superintendent Alberto Carvalho

A search warrant is being executed on both his home AND the LA schools HQ

The district has recently "misplaced" $76 MILLION in taxpayer funds, falsified student attendance records, and more

Carvalho was once an ILLEGAL ALIEN, and he's been allowing kids out of schools to take over the streets at anti-ICE events.





This is going to possibly hit Newsome's attempt to be POTUS pretty hard since Carvalho is one of his close associates, and even recent acknowledged him in his State of the State address.

The raid of Alberto Carvalho's home+office looks to be related to LAUSD's failed AI chatbot scandal - and it's not just about the $3 million LAUSD wasted on it.

The FBI also raided the FL home of Debra Kerr, an ed tech salesperson w/longtime Carvalho ties, and who landed the $6M LAUSD contract for now-defunct AllHere, on Wednesday.

AllHere's former CEO, Joanna Smith-Griffin, is being prosecuted for securities fraud, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in SDNY after she allegedly "misrepresented AllHere's revenue and customer base to fraudulently raise almost $10 million in funds... Once the company's valuation had climbed, she sold some of her stake in it and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a down payment for a new home and on her wedding."

Carvalho and Smith-Griffin made joint appearances at ed tech conferences throughout the spring of 2024 touting the chatbot's capabilities, The 74 reports - AND Carvalho gave a 20-min speech touting the tech and the company at the 2024 ASU+Global Silicon Valley Summit as the company was laying off workers.

Carvalho has repeatedly bragged about LAUSD's stringent data requirements with 3rd party vendors, but a whistleblower alleges that the chatbot misused LAUSD students' personally identifying information "by including it in all chatbot prompts, even in those where the data weren't relevant; sharing it with other third-party companies unnecessarily and processing prompts on offshore servers in violation of district student privacy rules."

LA isn't the only school district developing their own AI system. I know of several in Texas doing it; one hoping to go so far as to have it basically run the classrooms with the teacher simply monitoring, although that is their very long term goal.

Good way to suppress teachers wages. No need to pay the big bucks if you don't do anything but sit around and watch the students.

The more grant money you can get funneled your way, the more you can skim off to buy things, like nice personal real estate. No efficiency needed, no money in that!

The level of graft at the school districts, county and COG (multi-county) levels make the large city fraud look like child's play. Much more opaque procurement processes and much more subjectivity in evaluating vendors.

Democrats are exceptional at taking technology and products developed by others and figuring out a way to use them to get rich off of public funds. Seldom do they produce anything truly useful. Just schemes and ideas that may sound good but in reality have little practical use or are destined to fail. They get into positions of power and use their authority to facilitate these deals that make them independently wealthy. It happens every day, all over this country.

Building your own AI or LLM in order to run a school system is kinda like a school system building a vehicle manufacturing plant to build their own brand of busses.

School systems should be employing technology in their field, not developing technology.

Any money spent by a school system to "build" and AI is just a boondoggle.

It would be better to spend the money on implementing an instance of, for example, Grok or Claude to do what you want it to do.

my thought exactly.

He came from nothing, and on an superintendent's salary...which is good, but not going to make you rich in L.A....he's amassed 6 properties and a 6.5 million real estate portfolio in multiple states.

he must be a very savvy investor.

Possible hit to Newsom's presidential aspirations?

Dream on.

Probably raises his stock among the mooching class of voters and the mooching class of donors.

And while the mooching class is probably only 40% of the country, tack on another 10% of the mentally deranged that have convinced themselves being woke is morally superior and his base is pretty solid.

Correct. It's 440k.

After Fed and State taxes, it's about $260k in Cali.

After all his living expenses in LA, he'd have to be a pretty amazing investor to afford another 5.5 million in real estate, in Miami.

I thought maybe he got an inheritance or something...but his story was that he grew up in poverty, and was a dishwasher before becoming a science teacher.

All of the headlines are a bit misleading. From what I read the $76 Million isn't missing they know exactly wheee it was spent. They used it to fund teacher and administrator pay raises rather than its intended use.
