If I was DeSantis and I wanted to be POTUS in 2028, I would mention that such behavior would not be tolerated in the State of Florida either, and, if he ever has the opportunity to work in the Federal government, he would be assessing whether the federal government could bring charges based on federal laws as well.

Maybe be even more blunt: "If I worked for the federal government right now, I would be seeking to bring federal charges against everyone involved."
