I think Iran must have had these attack targets pre-programmed and just hit the fire button.

I'm interested to see where they launch their next wave of attacks, if they're even capable at this point.

I assume anything they have left will be targeted towards the Strait of Hormuz, Dubai, Saudi and Israel. Maybe a little bit left for Bahrain and Qatar.

OP Iran's path to victory is simply to sow chaos, inspire the muslim street to rise up around the world, and hold out long enough to strangle the US, Israeli, and Arab state economies via oil market disruptions.

We will have a much better idea of where all of this is going by the end of the week.

here's some speculation to mull over....

Like Saddam and other despots in the ME these guys don't have any understanding of the American mindset or policy and strategy. When you rule by oppressive dictatorship and only know how to wield power by killing people they have no clue what to do when the person you are fighting is an 800 pound Gorilla. In this case they thought they could bluster and stall their way through negotiations and would walk away with the status quo until they had a nuke. Their plan was to build a few nukes to threaten Israel and use that threat to get sanctions lifted and to tell us to piss off. They don't have a plan because they suck at reading the tea leaves. They are still working with a playbook that should have been thrown out January of last year.

What does the Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, etc... do/or don't do, in retaliation to the attack's from Iran? Do they just sit back and take it and the the US and Israel do everything or do they fire back on their own?

It is one thing if they are going after US bases, but hotels, condo buildings are not the same.

Their strategy is to waste all of their missiles, instead of concentrating them on a significant target.

The old spay and pray technique, that is used by all 2nd rate criminal gangs all over the world.

Theyve likely lost most coherent C&C so the isolated units are following their local contingency plans and target lists for this type of situation as they are able to. This results in a random uncoordinated mess that mostly gets stopped and also has no strategic coherence. It's a strategic disaster for Iran.

It's pure speculation......But whoever wrote it isn't too far off about oil price spiking in the short term. Triple digit oil is entirely possible by Friday.

Sounds mighty gloom and doom going down the list.

Hyperbole at its finest.

If the list I initially replied to ends up checking all the boxes, again, let us know for sure.

Let's say that does happen, how long would the spike last?

Probably not long enough to affect the mid-term elections.

Don't trust him. He has TDS which clouds a lot of his thinking. He's also CIA and has an agenda.

The guy is one of the most knowledgeable people I know when it comes to geopolitical events.

Yes, he's arrogant, yes he's a globalist, yes he has TDS, and no I don't agree with him on policy, but that doesn't change the fact that he gives a lot of great insights on what's going on throughout the world and the geopolitical ramifications.

You need to be able to separate the information from the opinion, and if you can't then okay don't watch him.

I saw what Iran is doing with missiles characterized as our sub fleet's Doomsday Doctrine. When leadership is taken out those in the field just carry out the Doomsday plan that was set in place which is another reason they can't have nukes.

The rulers of Iran are Shi'a Muslim and most of the Middle East doesn't like them so the plan was to just take everyone out with whatever you have left.

Kind of like the cartel reaction down in Puerto Vallarta after El Mencho was killed. Completely illogical...but have to remind ourselves we are dealing with deranged zealots...not logical, level-headed actors.

Depends on how angry everyone in the region gets.

If cooler heads prevail and everyone chills out over the next couple days, little to no impact.

If everyone looses their **** and starts sinking ships and fire bombing refineries on both sides of the Gulf, then kiss the midterms goodbye.

Unfortunately the only thing we can do is sit back and wait/watch..... unless you are the gambling type, you can play in the markets to see if you can make some quick cash.

Rest assured the Plunge Protection Team is working hard today to reduce market disruptions.

It's hard to say exactly what their goal is. What we've seen previously is countries leaning on Islam to try and draw the whole region in another attempt to destroy Israel and annihilate the Jews. I don't think that's the case here. I think they're trying to disrupt thing enough that other countries step in and ask the US and Israel to stop. If they can cause enough economic instability, they can get the rest of the world on the side of peace, that might be their idea anyways. With their leader already dead, and so many others wiped out, it's all the regime can really do at this point.
