The Michigan State Police confirmed that they are responding to Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township to an active shooter.

WDIV reported that the shooter smashed a vehicle into the synagogue before letting of shots inside.

Images obtained by the outlet show a large police presence on the scene with smoke coming out of windows and a vent on the roof.

Scores of police vehicles have responded to the scene from state police and neighboring offices, as seen in video captured by WDIV.

Or
The individual was out for an innocent drive, when a Jewish Synagogue, jumped in front of his car. Shots were fired (perhaps a back-firing SUV) and the confused individual walked away shouting "Akbar Allah" in prayer.

I spent my Sophomore and Jr HS years at West Bloomfield HS.

Ginormous Jewish population there, I can attest. Can also attest, the people of that town are solid, America-loving (mostly conservative) folks.

Most Jewish community centers and synagogues now have either paid armed security or members who are concealed carry.

one of my buddies conceal carries in Maryland at his synagogue

seems this is the largest Reform Temple in the world and had armed security who took down the terrorist.
