Based on that placement of "show more" it seems they exposed themselves during the visit.

Europe is so ****ed! When they're overtaken by muslims, communism, and trans ideology completely what will they say? I don't think the left ever admits defeat. They'll just say communism works but we're not doing it the right way.

I don't know about that analogy, but the basis is true. The guy went to jail for violating an order not to go back to the school, and he did.

That's not to say the motivation of putting him in jail wasn't delusional leftistism, but we lose a lot of credibility on these arguments when we present a false narrative.

I can't find it, but yesterday an anti-immigration, citizen-led military group, posted a video saying they'll not accept the migrants in their country any longer. They threatened politicians, and stated they new their home address.

They also made comments about not accepting a change of their culture, and policing citizens for thought crimes.

Their nation is starting to revolt from the inside out.

21 - 24 % participate in one or more.

Toss in Housing Assistance + Earned Income Tax Credit ...........


28 - 30% of adults in US are getting some (or all) of these handouts.

The times I've been to Ireland I've really enjoyed my visit. I never saw any of this kind of crap but I guess I wasn't really there to get involved in their politics. What a shame.

I spent a couple of months on the west coast of Ireland teaching a proprietary architecture to techies.

A really great group and country. Every town, no matter how small, seemed to have at least one pub. Being happily married, I would be loath to admit admiring the red hair (rua) and freckles on the fine young maids. But I might have, once or twice.

In 2022 Enoch Burke was teaching at Wilson's Hospital School, a co-ed Church of Ireland School about 2 hours outside of Dublin. There was a student who was transitioning and Burke was instructed to use the student's preferred name and pronouns (they/them). The change in name and pronouns was at the request of the student and their parents. Burke objected to this and refused to comply with the instructions from the principal. He later went on to interrupt the schools board of management meeting, had a heated exchange with the principal, and was suspended as a result.

A disciplinary proceeding was initiated and during that time he was forbidden to set foot on the grounds per a High Court Order. He repeatedly ignored that order and tried to come to work where he was repeatedly turned away and eventually arrested for violating the High Court Order. The subsequent investigation found that Enoch Burke's behavior was detrimental to the school environment and that he would likely engage in further harmful or disruptive behavior so his employment was terminated. The Wilson Hospital School then obtained a permanent trespass order against him. His suspension, firing, and the trespass order were all upheld by the High Court.

Since then Burke has continually tried to enter the school grounds in violation of the permanent trespass injunction against him. Each time he is arrested and jailed. The court has offered to purge his contempt charges provided he agree to the trespass order and not return to the school (he has refused).

This week his sister and mother were arrested after visiting Enoch in prison. The arrest was for a contempt of court charge stemming from a previous incident in which they repeatedly interrupted a court proceeding for the Wilson Hospital School. They were yelling, causing a disturbance, and eventually removed from the court by police. The judge ordered them jailed for two weeks for contempt of court.

The Burke family in general is no stranger to controversy. The 12 members are Evangelical Christian Fundamentalists and have made a name for themselves by protesting. legal challenges, and anti-LGBTQ activism. By many account the are Ireland's version of the Westboro Baptist Church

Obvious amateurs. They should be obstructing police actions, refusing to comply with officer orders, kicking out taillights, all while carrying a gun.

Then they would be heroes. Right?

He's been arrested 5 or 6 times since 2022. Each time he is released he goes right back to the school and attempts to enter the grounds once again violating the permanent injunction for trespass. He usually gets turned away, court proceedings begin again, he's found in contempt, and arrested again.

Each time his sentence gets a little bit longer.

Objectively, whether you agree with his position or not, Enoch Burke has earned his additional punishment by violating the orders laid out. That should be outside the scope of this conversation.

Replying to myself, a news report says that they disrupted a court hearing to the point where it had to be postponed. Warrants were issued for that, and they were detained when they showed up to visit him.

That family might be "right," but they are doing it the wrong way.

Ireland will throw you in jail for hurting someone's feelings. What a bunch of *ussies. Can you imagine if folks from history saw how soft the world is these days? A total fkn embarrassment.

They disrupted one of the court hearings. They were yelling, screaming, and causing a ruckus in order to prevent it from proceeding. They had to be removed from the court by the police. It's happened so many times they have 10 extra police on hand whenever Burke is in court. The judge finally got fed up and issued arrest warrants holding them in contempt of court. The police knew they were going to visit him in jail so they arrested them outside.


This is 100% an issue of their own making. The various judges have given them all so many chances to comply with the law and their orders. But it's their schtick. They cause a big scene then claim to be the victim which in turn raises their profile. I don't know if they fundraise off this, but the family runs a Christian School of some kind.
