If you are losing your job to an H1B you need to work harder for less money.

Sorry, but that's life.

Cannot complain about H1B unless you have hated paying less for meat packing, lawn maintenance, ******** food, china fwood, nail salons, donuts, dry cleaning, cheap Chinese flat screens and iPhones… on and on.

You kids let this happen. Only way back is tariffs and hard work for less pay and paying more for American made.

Your post reminds me of something someone on the right said forever ago here on F16. He said that Americans don't need a minimum wage and that if anything, Americans should be able to work for less than the minimum wage to make themselves competitive in the workforce.

I know that's not exactly where you're going, but it makes me wonder if the person who mentioned that years ago would agree with you. I know I do.

Govt numbers, regardless of party in power, are absolute crap.

Exactly, they can't count their ****ing toes, much less put out accurate jobs numbers or anything nationally in scope in a relatively short time span.

Cherry picked or manipulated in some way. The job market still is bad, though it definitely is improving based on the sudden uptick of calls I am getting.

I don't buy it. But as long as improvement is there, I don't really care.

Cherry picked manipulated I don't buy it but trust me bros I don't care?

Two different topics.
I think the numbers are true but is selected/cherry picked to make Trump look good or not too bad. One must look at the whole picture dispassionately.

Cmon dude. You cancelled the wife's Mercedes over tariffs which made you money, proselytized about evil CEOs and the antichrist of AI, but you don't care?

My wife never had or wanted a Mercedes. She test-drove one and did not like it. I ended up buying her a new Audi Q7 SUV last September, so it's been 6 months. Read all about it here. https://texags.com/forums/12/topics/3553577
So not sure what you are talking about. Either read my posts or don't at all. Don't quote my posts selectively like this government does with employment numbers.

Whether it is 178k or 188k, I don't care since I don't believe the numbers. But I do see some improvement on the ground, so that is important to me. I'm getting more calls than I did last summer for example. That matters to me more than some stat the Govt puts out.

So your personal experience says more than stats? I know idiots who can't get jobs because they are negative ****s. Others currently have jobs and are getting other offers. One person isn't a good judge neither is one field.

This is the most clueless and uninformed take.

You have no idea what is really happening and how things are being subverted. The end result will be turning the US as you know it today into a 3rd world country. You seem to be okay with it as long as your ideals and principles of "free markets" (according to you) are upheld.

Not much else I can add to this. People like this actually are waiting for the destruction of America so they can laugh "I told you so!".

Very sad.

Stats are cherry picked to fool people. Whether it is 178k or 188k, it does not matter. The job market is bad for 2-3 years, but I feel an uptick lately. Maybe it is a small blip, who knows. And from your post, you are one of the victims of the propaganda.

Doesn't take much intelligence to see we are in a bad recession already. But some people will still cling on to "but but but we need to have 2 successive quarters of negative GDP growth.....".

MW needs to be repealed, along with a slough of other stupid ass regulations/interference in the market(s).

I've worked Big 4 accounting, corporate America, then started a company 15 years ago that had some c-suite investors.

I've been to India, on my corp America days to actually to a review and audit of our outsourced functions.

I have absolute understanding of the reality of the situation. And I can tell you my take is spot on. Soy lattes and neckbeards crying muh reverse racism and the dumb evil executives think Indians are the bomb but the reality is they just work harder than I do and for less money and I am jelly and lashing out.

Dude, just take a step back. You have many legit concerns and gripes, but it's so jaded to hate everything your message has been lost.

My two cents, or 1.8 million rupees.

Wasn't there a large labor dispute that resolved near the end of March with Kaiser Permanente? Kind of wonder if that played into the health care uptick in that bar graph. Seems there were a lot of people involved.

edit: Well...it was quite a few people. 31,000 went back to work after a long, Union strike out in California. Do we count 31K going back to work as job growth? Or is it a wash?

Not propaganda. There are tons of open jobs just too many people won't do them because they are "beneath" the person.

There are people who put more effort into *****ing about H1Bs and corrupt CEOs than they do into their day jobs. If they refocused that effort on broadening their job skills or pondering other ways to make money, then things may be better for folks like that.

But there are people committed on never making things better for themselves as then they would lose a central pillar of their existence, which is to just hate on things cause they don't like themeless es or their situations.
