Looks like Germany is preparing for a military draft (to reduce dependence on the US). And yes, men only.

I wonder why the women are silent, they want equality in everything, why don't they want to go fight a war just as they want "a seat in the board room"? Now they claim it is "voluntary". But that is not the point. Why are men impacted but not women? I am sure they don't want to be deprived the honor of dying for their country. Don't be surprised if they bring in some DEI quotas to hire women in military positions that are not on the front-lines with better benefits and perks.

That said, why are our American 20-something kids in selective service but not Rajesh who is here on an H1B and is 25? He can absolutely go fight for America.

    Wait! Does the EU know Germany has borders now? Can't get out but anyone can get in?

    That's stupid.. Germans can't jump on a train and be in another country in a few hours and fly out of there?

    Actually that's one of the reasons Germany doesn't want a large standing Army. They're afraid it would become a majority Muslim force.

    Good nations enforce immigration law. We can't just let everyone who claims they are trying to claim asylum or escape their horrid conditions in their home countries. Yet, liberals believe that open borders results in a net benefit to society.

    I saw that. They have some fantasy that 80% of the Syrians they let in will be gone in short order. We all know perfectly well that won't happen. Line the muslims up and human-wave them at Russian lines. Right across the minefields so the following assault by Germans has a clear path.
