Only way that happens is if the Democrats think forcing the person to resign benefits the party.

Heck, Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, a black, female, Democrat from Florida, who stole over $5 million in disaster relief funds, and is currently under federal indictment for it, still has her seat despite being found guilty of 25 ethics violations. The house will hold a vote to expel her, but so far, the leadership has remained silent or tacitly supported her. No Democrat as called for her to resign, at least that I've seen.

I'm of the opinion that 75% of the members in Congress have taken advantage of their position in some way shape or form. Sexually. Financially. Power wise. And interstates holding themselves to standards like this they would all get kicked out. None of them want that.

Look at that lady from FL who stole millions in FEMA money. They haven't even tried to kick her out.
