Rubio seems to be hitting on all cylinders in every sphere he has influence over. He is being highlighted and visible.

Vance has a couple of very high risk high reward, yet very challenging and not in his control tasks - Iran negotiations and fraud task force.

For Vance to succeed he has to get the Iranians to cooperate/capitulate (highly unlikely), and get democratic controlled states to assist (AGs, DAs, juries) in actual arrests and prosecution and convictions of fraudsters in deep blue cities/states (a big uphill battle).

Rubio is able to show success after success because he is in control of the outcomes (generally). Vance is not in control, just an influencer of the outcomes.

That is an interesting dynamic to watch going into the 2028 race. I think things set up to favor Marco.

I tell family members who go crazy with some of the 100% stupid crap Trump says, THIS is why you have to overlook it. I also share these actions since the MSM will never let them know so much of what's going on. Orange Man is slowly and methodically fixing what is wrong in our country. He needs an AG who will fly into action and start putting people away, ASAP!!! Time is obviously of essence.

I find great satisfaction when family agrees and starts paying attention, particularly the 30 somethings.

Rubio/Lee lead the ticket. Vance for SoS. DeSantis for AG.

Big fan of Vance, but I think going SoS and getting more global would help him tremendously after eight years of Rubio.

That's my 'dream' scenario at least.

I like Rubio more than Vance overall, they are both very good. However Rubio by default is in a better position to "do" things. Vance can only accomplish things if Trump appoints him to a specific task.

Great question. This long-time lurker decided to research a bit... It looks like Congress passed the DV program into law in the 1980s. Congress was concerned immigration amendments from 1965 allowed too many people from Asia and Latin America to immigrate to the U.S., so they created the Diversity Visa program to encourage immigration from Europe, particularly Ireland (as I understand it). They couldn't explicitly say "Ireland" though, so they based it on calculated formulas where European countries would qualify. As a result, Ireland, the UK, and Canada were initially the top 3 beneficiaries. Obviously, immigration patterns have significantly changed since then and European countries are no longer near the top 3 in this program.
