Mine were in the first census of 1790 with five heads of families. My branch started in North Carolina and eventually ended up in Tennessee by 1830.

Where are they going to go? "White" countries won't let them in because "racism." They only want immigrants of color from "historically marginalized groups" so they can shower them with benefits paid for by people who never caused any injury to them in their countries of origin.

It was pretty common WWI propaganda that German soldiers were doing that.

Germany has had this issue for about 150 years. All of Central Europe has had this problem. The Muslim problem is new to a Germany but much older for Southern Europe. We act like this is something new but the battle for a Europe is 1200 years old.

In the early 60s our family visited West Berlin. There were wooden stands you could limb to see into East Berlin. They would always pair a Russian soldier w/ an East German soldier.
Surpisingly, the East German soldier, w/ his arm lowered would wave his hand at you in a manner that the Russian soldier could not see him waving. The same thing happened when our high school basketball team took the Freedom Train from Frankfurt to West Berlin(re:the train stopped in several cities in East Germany & there were soldiers on duty at the train stops)for a tournament. Seems even several East German soldiers did not like the Russians.

Soviets funded it, East Germans built it...

My family has a similar path. Left Germany in 1732 and ended up in Pennsylvania. Ended up just outside of Asheville and built a house that still stands from 1790. Fought in the Revolutionary War. My wife and I visited the family home 10 years ago in Clyde, North Carolina.

I found a whole book written about my family history after doing our ancestry profiles. It was wild reading these accounts.

My direct ancestor was known as "The Wagon Maker" because there was another man with the same name who was known as "The Miller"

Mine made wagons for the Patriot forces during the Revolution.

I told my daughter she was qualified for the DAR, I just got an eye roll

So sad. Completely preventable. I don't see how they right the ship with so many of the most industrious leaving.

My mother's side arrived as Germans but from Russia just at the end of WWI. They left Germany for Russia as a group of several thousand farmers. Got to the Russian empire and everything the Russian government promised was a lie. But they weren't allowed to leave. So they started a tiny German town and lived more or less as Germans until they escaped during the chaos of the war and revolution.

I think they mostly came through in 1919.
