Anyone kept up with this. 11 scientists gone over the last months.

These were people working on fringe, high tech, or even UFO type stuff like gravity

physicist alarmed by 'unheard of' number of scientists dying or vanishing now on White House's radar
NNSA says it is investigating, while Trump described the situation as 'pretty serious' after a meeting on the case

A famed theoretical physicist, bestselling author and physics professor is alarmed by the documented trend of high-level scientists, some related to UFO research, who have oddly disappeared or died over the past several years

"If a scientist disappears, it's a matter of some concern. But if 10 scientists suddenly die or vanish who all have advanced security clearance with access to sensitive research, this is cause for national concern," Dr. Michio Kaku told Fox News Digital.

"This is unheard of," he said. "This has never happened before. The next step is to determine if there is a single, common thread to their research that ties them to a specific aspect of national security."

Kaku is also a well known television personality. He has appeared on cable news, late night and talk shows, along with several episodes of the History Channel's "Universe" and "Ancient Aliens" series. In 2009, he began hosting a weekly television series for the Science Channel "Sci Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible."

The most recent and prominent example of this trend is the mysterious disappearance of Air Force Maj. Gen. William Neil McCasland (Ret.). He went missing from his New Mexico home on Feb. 27, bringing only a handgun and a pair of boots with him. He left his phone, keys and glasses behind,

There is statistically almost zero probability that this many people, tied this closely together, have disappeared in modern society - within such a close range of dates - for it to simply be a "coincidence"

It isn't. No need to tie yourself in knots to try to explain it.

Things usually are exactly what they appear to be.

What is the statistical likelihood of an elaborate scheme to abduct (or whatever) this many scientists without anyone spilling the beans?

People are good at pattern recognition and are always trying to link things in our minds.

Nearly every vacation I run into some acquaintance. The chances of running into someone I know while looking over the edge of Hover Dam is almost zero, or a classmate from 30 years ago while showering at a campsite in Palo Duro Canyon. Or a BQ I know randomly selecting seats next to me in Kyle field. The probability of any one of these is low but given the tens or hundreds of thousands of events when I don't run into anyone, just proves the statistical improbability.

Some vaguely related scientists die is likely just a coincidence. Now in 3 years when 4 teachers at the same school somewhere in this country all die in the same month, or 3 people who once worked in the same office together all get brain cancer, people will want to say they're linked whether there is evidence or not.

Yes, and it's bullcrap

As a simple start, it's not 11 scientists.

I worked with some theoretical physics guys a while back. They're often brilliant within their field, but absolute nutcases with respect to anything in the real everyday world. Simple things like personal hygiene can be a complete mystery to them. Trust me on this.

Tied this closely together? How so. This is something that the string and tack people like to pin to their walls.

Exactly. Remember the sudden surge in child murders in Atlanta, and they even accused one guy of being a serial killer.

Turns out it was just the normal number of missing and dead kids, combined with media hysteria

Of the 11 missing people, four are "scientists" the rest are engineers, administrative assistants or entrepreneurs.

What are you talking about? The '79-81 Atlanta Child Murders was nothing normal and it has been all but proven beyond a legal doubt that Wayne Williams killed something like 23 of the 27 or so victims (not all children) even though he was only convicted of killing 2 adults.

How can it be proven beyond a legal doubt when it never went to trial, no evidence, etc etc ????

It's very well documented Canyon my friend. Prosecution chose to just put the guy away on the easy convictions. The black community in Atlanta at the time was going nuts. And the murder streak of kids tapered off once they got him off the streets.

There was a child serial killer in Atlanta many years ago that was finally caught.

The primary evidence linking Wayne Williams to the Atlanta Child Murders is fiber and hair analysis, which formed the core of the prosecution's circumstantial case.

  • Fiber Evidence: Forensic investigators found coarse yellow-green nylon fibers and violet acetate fibers on multiple victims. These fibers were traced to a rare type of carpet, Luxaire English Olive, manufactured by West Point Pepperell and installed in Williams' home and car. Experts estimated the statistical probability of randomly finding this specific carpet in an Atlanta home was 1 in 7,792 to 1 in 8,000, making the match highly significant.
  • Hair Evidence: Dog hairs found on several victims were determined to be consistent with those from Williams' family dog, a German shepherd. This provided an additional, rare link to his personal environment.
  • Circumstantial Links: The prosecution also used the bridge stakeoutwhere police heard a splash and saw Williams' car leaving the James Jackson Parkway Bridge hours before Nathaniel Cater's body was foundas a key moment. The fact that the child murders stopped immediately after Williams' arrest further solidified the police's belief in his guilt for the broader series.
While this evidence led to his conviction for the murders of two adults (Cater and Payne) and the official closure of 22 other cases, the lack of direct evidence (like DNA, which was not available at the time) and the reliance on fiber analysis have fueled ongoing controversy about his involvement in the child murders.

Atlanta child murders

FWIW...

What is the size of the body of persons these missing/dead people are being considered a part of? Without knowing that to say this is situation has "statistically almost zero probability" is absurd. The number of variables involved in this occurrence is off the charts. But hey, we live in the era of the mindless conspiracy theory.

Nobody cares about us scientist (and engineers) until a few scientists go missing or die.

FYI : Most scientist that use one or more of the national laboratories have the lowest level security clearance (confidential).

I work with several of the labs. There are likely 100k employees in the national lab system plus a constant revolving door of contractors. This conspiracy doesn't move the needle for me.

Now, if it comes out they were all supporting the same program, that's different, but the labs work on thousands of different compartmentalized programs.
