The case against colonialism is that the colonising country exploits and extracts valuable resources from the country being colonised rendering it something lesser than before.
My question is this: How is taking what is purported to be the best and brightest from these countries and bringing/letting them come here not precisely what I just described above?
How is the emptying these countries of the very people that might set their place of origin upright not by definition a continuation of the exploitative nature of colonialism?
