Are you equating stupid tweets and F bombs to encouraging for political violence?

The left is openly aggravating political violence. Openly. Proudly. Encouraging it.

One is the president, one is an unfunny hack on a dying medium.

The president is still held to a higher standard, sorry.

Yes, Biden should have been held to a higher standard when he said he was going to take Republicans "out back behind the school yard" and called Trump supporters "floating pieces of garbage" - but people like you showed no outrage back then.

Oh we are back to thinking Biden was scary with the red background? He's not cornpop with no spatial awareness for this situation?
So Trump is scary for mean tweets and we MUST have standards but Biden and Democrats can say whatever they want and it's no big deal and meanie Donald saying mean things is exactly the same as encouraging political violence.

Your logic is flawed but predictable.

Kimmel's recent comments on yet another assassination attempt? With his comments bringing her into things as a possible widow.

His joke was not related to the shooter at the correspondents dinner.

He hosted a show days prior mocking the upcoming correspondents dinner. He made fun of Melania and Donald Trumps relationship, saying basically that she is married to a nearly deceased geriatric that she never speaks with or wants to be in the same room with and is just waiting for him to die.

Tasteless, vile, etc but it had nothing to do with a lunatic trying to kill folks at the actual event.

He's losing to Gutfeld, isn't he? Badly?

UPDATE:

From Grok:

Quote:

Recent Averages (Nielsen data, as of Q1 2026 and March 2026)

Total Viewers:
Gutfeld!: ~3.30 million average in Q1 2026 (across 60 first-run episodes), with weekly figures often in the 3.33.7 million range (e.g., 3.53 million the week of March 9; 3.49 million in March overall).
Jimmy Kimmel Live!: ~2.53 million in Q1 2026, with recent weekly averages around 2.172.55 million (e.g., 2.17 million the week of March 9).

Adults 18-49 Demographic (key for advertisers):
Gutfeld!: 249,000 in Q1 2026 (up 25% year-over-year in some periods); weekly examples include 300,000 (March 9 week) and 280,000 (March).
Jimmy Kimmel Live!: ~256,000 in Q1 2026; weekly examples include 228,000275,000. Kimmel sometimes leads his 11:35 p.m. broadcast slot in the demo, but Gutfeld! frequently tops all late-night shows overall.

Figuring in production costs, Gutfeld's actual profitability has to be way bigger than Kimmel's.

It can't cost much to get access to Tarlov's intellectual firepower.

It looks like Gutfeld gets 1M to 1.6M more viewers per night on average.

Need to factor in that Greg is on FNC / Cable and at 9pm which is still the prime time show slot for the broadcast networks. Moving Kimmel to 9pm (central time cause that's where I live) would probably be further disaster.

And in theory the broadcast should still benefit from holdovers who still watch local news. Gutfeld would only benefit from Hannity watchers in the same way, and whilst those overlap they are not the same base.

Folks have to actively tune into Gutfeld vs they just maybe don't change the channel laying in bed when Kimmel and friends are on.

That's my thought. Maybe AI knows better.

Gutfeld usually gets about 3.5 million viewers
Colbert 2.4
Kimmel 2.2
Fallon 1.4
Seth Meyers 1.0

The numbers don't exactly mean a lot because Gutfeld and Meyers are in different time slots from the other three. One could say they are splitting their own slots. That said, Gutfeld is on cable, and the others are major networks.

No doubt. Jimmy isn't very bright. He just reads the lines. He's not coming up with this stuff himself. He tolerates it because he wants desperately to be accepted. I think that's the case with many entertainers. They lack class, but it's more about them wanting to be accepted by their peers or bosses. They're shallow.

I think the contrast between Melania, the classiest, smartest, most beautiful First Lady we've had in 60 plus years and jerk off Kimmel just adds to the sting of her message. If he had any self awarness or shame he would slink off and hide in embarrassment.

I think that title goes to Mrs. Laura Bush...

She's shown some of her true colors since then. Both of the Bush's have. Never one word of criticism for Obama, but they sure have managed to speak up against Trump. Which in itself is fine, but they're silence for those eight years was very telling.

She did decently in her time as First Lady, though.

Melania is one of the most diplomatic and elegant First Ladies we've had in the modern era. She rarely speaks out. When she breaks silence and calls this crap out, you know it's bad.

She had to live through previous assassination attempts on Trump before this past weekend. She knows more than any First Lady since Nancy Reagan the feeling of possibly becoming a widow.

Kimmel is a clown. He pulled punches for the Bidens and all their dysfunction, but has no problem going after Trump's family. He's a paid stooge doing what he's told.

I imagine being there in person sitting next to the President as this occurred also brought home the reality of the danger he constantly faces in a way she had never experienced before.

Whatever her reasoning, I'm glad she called out Kimmel's disgusting comments and let ABC have it.
