paxton is part of a failed Texas GOP.

25 Billion annual surplus with a 27 Billion Rainy Day fund. We are living in a high tax and spend state at a time where an ungodly amount of revenue is being generated from oil and gas taxes. If you are in oil and gas and own a 3/4 million dollar home check your effective tax rate (then compare it to basically any state thats not Cali or NY and you arent gonna like it)

Your LOCAL property taxes have NOTHING to do with Statewide sales tax or Oil & Gas revenue. Furthermore, none of those items that are being paid for by your local property taxes are the responsibility of the state to finance.

Want to gripe about state owned toll roads? FINE.
But your local property tax isn't a statewide issue.

These "polls" are completely fabricated, just like the fake Iowa polls before the 2024 election. They're manufacturing "news" and momentum.

This is what happens when one political party is completely devoid of ethics and morals. Lying is natural to them.

Bingo.

There is no chance whatsoever that a Democrat wins in Texas.

It won't happen.

We see this every single election cycle.

Early on they churn out tons of polls showing the Democrats winning if not sweeping Texas. It gives the media talking points and helps the Democrats with fundraising.

As we get closer to election day, we start seeing actual polling which shows the opposite of the early ones.

Then the election happens and the pollsters will claim they were always right because their last few polls got it correct.

You are spot on….but the Republicans love them too for fundraising. Allows them to scare the base. Both sides participate in opportunistic fundraising. B

Let's see how things look after a couple of months of attack ads on Talarico once Primary season is over.

It would help if Cornyn wasn't such a terrible senator, and Paxton wasn't such a terrible person.

And yet Talarico believes it's ok to mutilate children, among many other perverted things.

Its ok though, he gets religion.

Quote:

Senate
Talarico: 42%
Paxton: 34%
Other: 5%

Talarico: 40%
Cornyn: 33%
Other: 7%

So, does that mean Paxton has a better chance at beating Cornyn? I mean, 34% is higher than 33%?

Probably accurate if poll was taken of sip student voters. Maybe throw in a 10 mile radius around said sip campus.

Those look like the same polls that had Harris up +6 in Iowa.

Yeah. Because a bunch of farmers and Ag culture based people and families are all about trans rights, paying more taxes to give to illegals immigrants, gun control, climate change hysteria, and boys in girls sports and restrooms…… that was never reality and the Trump team knew it.

You may want to speak with the democrats running the Texas House. Paxton didn't do that.

The "Democrats" running the House is because a few of those "Democrats" ran as Republicans knowing full well that if they actually stated their party, they would never get elected.

Deception is a Democratic trait and one that has been very successful.

A Democrat hasn't won any Texas statewide election since 1994, a Texas gubernatorial election since 1990, a Texas US Senate election since 1988, and Texas electoral votes in a Presidential election since 1976. I think these trends will likely continue in the US Senate and gubernatorial elections on 11/3 to keep Texas red. I voted for Wesley Hunt, but I am voting for John Cornyn in the runoff because Ken Paxton is too much of a risk against James Talarico. I think winning the general election and keeping this Senate seat red is more important.

lol. "Red". That's funny.

Texans put democrats in charge of our own house.

I get the media narrative of "Paxton is the devil". They love Cornyn. It's fully that every year the libs go after Andes it's Cruz's seat. It now that Cornyn has an actual challenger, all you hear is "baggage" and "garbage human".

I don't put up with their BS. Period. Paxton for Senste.

I will vote for the R, but I truly dislike both options.

Both options are better than snake-oil Talarico. And I say this as someone who can't stand Cornyn.
