Honestly, I think it's been longer than that, but the lack of consequences for the blue dress (and other Clinton scandals) allowed dems to no longer fear exposing their worst sides. All that matters is power.

Rush Limbaugh used to say that if character didn't matter then Ted Kennedy would have been President. Along came Bill Clinton to piss all over that concept.

This is the party of Robert Byrd. Of course they're ok with overt racism. It's always been at the core of their party. What's most amazing to me is that they manage to discriminate against white people and minorities at the same time. It's quite impressive, really.
