Huh? There are about 13 million Southern Baptists in America. The scandal was larger because Catholic priests are unmarried and were molesting kids to satisfy their sexual urges. Then the Church hid a lot of the molesters by moving them around to avoid consequences.

The Southern Baptist Convention doesn't hire or fire preachers, so they didn't hide them. Individually churches may have, but the denomination did not. Whatever scandals there were, they were not widespread.

**And I am not saying only Catholics molest kids and hide abusers. Hopefully everyone is much more aware and on guard now.
