That's what the druggies tell the guy doing the video when asked why they all came to San Fran from other parts of the country.

Way to go libs. Your utopia has arrived!

Drugs have decimated this country. And they've permeated every aspect of society. The normalization of it is sickening.

But the "muh freedom" crowd is unable to have an honest discussion about it.

You could just enforce the laws and house the criminals. Solves homelessness, and will be way cheaper in the long run.

I saw a lot of this when I was there in 2010. This has been going on for a LONG time. It isn't just since Covid or even Newsome. It may have been a little cleaner back then but that's about all.

San Francisco is still a stunning city, despite Democrat politicians doing Democrat things to it . If you can afford it (very big IF), there are few better cities to live in.

Let's fence off the city and ship all the addicts we can find in Texas to that location.

By what standard? Crazy real estate prices, homeless plague, drug plague, cool foggy weather, insane liberals in charge, traffic not great... When do you get to the good part?

Natural beauty and a booming economy - if you are amongst the "haves"
You have to be rich or have a high paying job. if you are one of those two, SFO is a great city to live.

Its a naturally beautiful city, cool and foggy on some days, but absolutely stunning weather most of the year.
A lot of tourist attractions, close to a number of other beautiful california cities, vibrant economy, a lot of outstanding startups, plenty of major companies that attract the brightest and best from all over the world. Surprisingly low murder rates, and very high paying jobs because the city is expensive.
If you are in one of those high paying jobs, Californias ridiculous tax rates and politics have little or no effect - because your income is doubling every other year or so, and most people see it as a small price to pay.

I refused to visit California for 20 years, because i refuse to spend money in a blue state. Finally made the trip with my family 2 summers, and again last summer with friends. If you like big cities, then SFO is stunning.

When (if) the high speed train is finished then SF can ship their druggies to LA at 155mph. The weather is better in LA ; )

You'll NEVER stop the drug problem by only focusing on the supply side.

The DEMAND side needs to be where the vast amount of resources go...

This is how dems have decided we should face the drug epidemic. Just let addicts do dope in public and give them support in their desires. Welcome to the urban hellscape the left create.

There's a very easy way to fix that but much of America would claim it to be inhumane.

When road bicyclists start showing up everywhere with spandex shorts up their ass, and streets start having dedicated bike lanes...then you know you've already lost, and need to move.

Road bicyclists are a Hallmark of a democrat takeover. They endanger themselves & others, yet get laws passed to give them more protection than anyone else on the road.

It is the epitome of narcissism to inconvenience everyone else in a highly dangerous way, while riding around like a flamboyant parrot on two wheels; and get laws changed to allow you to continue that irresponsible behavior.

Doubly so if I had SF "have" money.

The worst part is they already contaminated Oregon, Washington, and Colorado with that garbage backwards destructive ideology and they're trying to destroy Nevada, Arizona, and Idaho. A "line in the sand" is needed.

San Francisco has been a haven for druggies since the 1960s. Doesn't matter which party is in charge, the city will still be a haven for drug addicts. If Reagan and his wife Nancy couldn't fix it when he was governor or president, I don't think anyone can.

I love SF. Heart breaking what they did to that place. However, I am going out there more for a project and the city has cleaned up in some areas but the tenderloin and parts of soma/mission can still be sketch. Tenderloin is still shocking.. but once you get up the hill to Pac Heights, Marina, etc, it is still amazing. Fishermans wharf and Embarcadero are still pretty good too.

The weather is not that great in San Fran. I mean it is not Minnesota in winter but it's still wet and cold, even during the late spring months.

We've NEVER tried it here in the US.

We've always fought it from the SUPPLY side.

But, please, do tell me how you do it from the demand side where it's inhumane...

I honestly would like to know how that works.

Cool...you got rid of SOME of the people that do drugs.

What about the people who just smoke pot?

And the supply side is still there, because you didn't kill every one of them...
