Your first point is spot on but the conclusion to blame the libertarians is bizarre considering the hard drugs are not legal hardly anywhere. They've decimated this country. I get the thought process and it's a valid one. They're legal in like four places which aren't the entire country by any means so have they decimated the country or just those four places? If it's the entire country including places where they're illegal then how is that on us?

We're losing the drug war, I think we agree on that. Bans don't work, that seems incredibly obvious. Legalizing them is arguably making things worse, see those four places.

What if I told you there's not a solution?

Democrats destroying America city by city and life by life.

When road bicyclists start showing up everywhere with spandex shorts up their ass, and streets start having dedicated bike lanes...then you know you've already lost, and need to move.

Road bicyclists are a Hallmark of a democrat takeover. They endanger themselves & others, yet get laws passed to give them more protection than anyone else on the road.

It is the epitome of narcissism to inconvenience everyone else in a highly dangerous way, while riding around like a flamboyant parrot on two wheels; and get laws changed to allow you to continue that irresponsible behavior.

The next time I see a group of bicyclists obey the traffic laws will be the first.

You'll NEVER stop the drug problem by only focusing on the supply side.

The DEMAND side needs to be where the vast amount of resources go...

There's a very easy way to fix that but much of America would claim it to be inhumane.

We've NEVER tried it here in the US.

We've always fought it from the SUPPLY side.

But, please, do tell me how you do it from the demand side where it's inhumane...

I honestly would like to know how that works.

Round the junkies up and give them more drugs than is reasonably safe.

Cool...you got rid of SOME of the people that do drugs.

What about the people who just smoke pot?

And the supply side is still there, because you didn't kill every one of them...

The solution offered is specifically targeting the walking zombie epidemic. If people like that want to kil themselves via drugs then let them do it in a controlled environment....

Or use TexAgs91's solution. That works too.

That I don't have a problem with that...

I was just talking about the greater issue...because as long as there is demand, there WILL BE supply.

So, you'd have to do the round-up periodically as others join the dumbass group.

There's not an actual Drug War being fought for the win. It's just been a cat and mouse game that has become a cottage industry and self licking ice cream cone.

An actual Drug War could be won, but it requires a comprehensive plan and execution involving addressing both the supply side and demand side. The demand side needs to be treated with education and as a health problem. The supply side needs to be treated by taking the kid gloves off. Both MUST be done in conjunction with eath other to actually work.

But, just like vietnam, iraq and afghanistan, the U.S. doesn't fight to win anything anymore.

Unfortunately, this is correct.

And our enemies plan on that...
