What an absolute bloodbath for the weaklings that wouldn't redraw the congressional map.

Guess the highly touted Trump endorsement still carries massive weight.

Well, bye.....

ETA: it's not just Trump's endorsement. Conservatives are pissed about the vote to not redraw.

Every state with even the slightest R advantage needs to eliminate as much democratic representation as possible, striving to permanently expunge all of it. Period. The end. Anyone not willing to do so needs to be primaried until it happens.

There has not been an endorsement in the history of America, perhaps the world, but I don't know, that carries more weight than a Trump endorsement

A tragic mistake by Trump. Pence is a veritable king-maker. I anticipate Pence cutting Trump down to size any minute.

Those rhinos had to have been bought off by the Dems in some type of backchannel way. They had to know what the constituents would do in response.

More likely many of them believe there is still a form of decorum in politics and think they should act like statesmen to their detriment.

We can do a lot better no doubt. Dems pour a crap load of money into this state though. And we see the affects

Go Along to Get Along strategy with the DemocRATS is not a strategy for success anymore for RINOS. The DemocRATS have been at War for a couple decades now. Kick their incumbent asses out like your boots need exra work.

Their job is to be the voice of their constituents. To give them a say in the government and reflect their desires.

They instead chose to silence and ignore the people they represent. And paid a price for it.

Now do your democrats….
The danger to America is not Biden/Harris but a citizenry capable of entrusting them with the presidency. It will be easier to undo the follies of their ideas than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a pair for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Biden, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that put them in place to lead.

It's all a game of charades to most of them, who view the other side as their friends and they want to be 'collegial' to protect their pals. Our statehouse is as bad about this as any in the country, imho. There's only a small contingent in the GOP Texas state house caucus that even goes through the motions on camera of pretending to care about conservative voters.

THIS IS THE PARTY OF TRUMP- NOT THE PARTY OF THE WOKE REICH LIKE TUCKER CARLSON!

Trump-Backed Challengers Oust Six Indiana GOP Senators in Primaries

The primaries stemmed from December 2025, when seven GOP senators rejected House Bill 1032, a map designed to secure all nine of Indiana's U.S. House seats for Republicans.

Trump endorsed opponents in six races, and challengers won decisively, including Blake Fiechter's 62%-38% victory over Sen. Travis Holdman in District 19 and Michelle Davis's 59%-41% win over Sen. Greg Walker in District 41.

One race in District 23 remained tied at 50%-50%.

These results highlight Trump's influence in GOP primaries and set the stage for friendlier redistricting ahead of the 2026 midterms.

on a related note-

Trump backed Vivek Ramaswamy won EVERY SINGLE COUNTY IN OHIO against a Tucker Carlson supported idiot in the GOP primary last night!

so much for Tucker thinking he runs the Republican party!

good post by Ship:

Quote:

The GOP incumbents who lost in Indiana refused to recognize the one single imperative.

The race in the House is to 218 seats.

Democrats long ago gerrymandered states they control to near extinction of GOP districts.

None in New England north of New York.

Three in Illinois.

Even before the most recent gerrymander, Calif had been redistricted to the following numbers:
2002 -- 30-23
2012 -- 38-15
2022 -- 40-12

The efforts by the Dems threaten to put the GOP House delegation -- including Indiana's -- back into the Minority, with a loss of Committee control.

Indiana refused to help.

The Dems don't stop -- now Virginia is 10-1, and NY is threatening to redistrict yet again, and it is 19-7 already.

This wasn't a "Trump" thing -- it was about keeping Hakeem Jeffries out of the Speaker's Chair, and Dems out of all the Committee Chairs.

How about Maxine Waters as Chair of the Financial Services Committee?

Jamie Raskin as Chair of the Judiciary Committee?

There are many others just like that.

Indiana's Republicans were ok with that happening.

More likely many of them will say that, while having acted not to their own detriment but to the detriment of their party, their nation and their constituents. Whether they were getting paid or kowtowing to Spence or both is something we will probably never know.

It's a pretty big one. There are options, but the swamp cretins in the palmetto state have Clyburn very comfortable, for now, which sucks.

It's only one seat ultimately, but the excuses on this are pathetic.
