There is nothing for him to learn. Mamdani and his followers want to run everyone that opposes the out of town.
1) will be easier for them to do what they want without worry of being voted out or shouted down
2) they can still blame the rich for all their problems when their system fails.
It's actually a genius strategy. Create a system that guarantees you stay stay in power while giving you an everlasting scapegoat

Sounds like…Cuba, Iran, or what Venezuela has been for decades.

So much for NYC being one of the biggest tourist attractions.

NYC seems dead set on committing suicide. As an aside, I have 4 friends of mine with daughters that are graduating from college who are either moving to NYC or wanting to move to NYC, I think they all have some "Sex and the City" fascination with it or something. I don't know of any guys (I have 2 sons) that would ever move there. The girls don't really care about politics but the guys do. It's anecdotal but striking. Mamdani really appeals to girls like that because he is good looking and all his talk is liberal utopia and they eat it up and then they can't understand why things don't turn out remotely like they thought it would.

Except that they won't learn a damn thing. If they can't figure it out after 9/11 then they won't ever figure it out. They'll just cycle through the lib-socialist-bailout-lib-socialist-bailout-(repeat) as they've always done. Hopefully the worst of it will be after I'm gone.

You can't fix stupid.

Anyone else think that these democrat state moves are on purpose? They already control the states they are in, there is probably no way these states will ever swing back red with all the "re-districting" that the dems have done. By getting these liberal wealthy people to leave they then know they will move to "red states" and then turn those states eventually. Anyway, its almost like California and New York want their liberal people to leave and go liberalize other red states.

That or its a way to get any conservatives left in the states to leave so that there is no way they could ever turn red again. Get rid of your competition and its all yours.

just my 2 cents... could be way off base on this, just my sneaking suspicions that they know what they are doing running off their conservatives

Its 100% intentional. It gives them an excuse to tell the public why the coffers are empty after they pillage it.

Amazing that the powerful financial interests in NYC let this happen and are now retreating rather than crushing this bug. We are watching passively as NYC becomes Detroit in real time.
