This isn't shocking. I don't know why Lula even showed up. He had to have known he would get nothing from Trump. He won't be able to control the narrative on this.

To be fair.

Trump has a really bad habit of meeting with foreign dignitaries, holding a press conference, then said foreign leader has to sit there while Trump fields questions and gives responses that have absolutely nothing to do with the relationship to the visiting country. Even Bibi has to sit there while Trump talks about a John Deere plant in Ohio.

To be fair….whom ever is sitting next to Trump will be largely ignored by the press until they get their collective rounds of "gotcha's" in on the president.

I have seen way more of the press ignoring the WH guest, than the WH guest being ignored by Trump.

Yes. And Lula would have known that long before the meeting and press conference were scheduled. This is probably something else.
